208 Samurai Ancestral Katana Blade, re-cut and mounted with WWII era fittings. Blade appears to be of original length but the base of the blades edge has been sharpened. Has been re-cut and shortened to its owners height and to accommodate its new gilt brass fittings. Blade shows some imperfections, a few nicks and an attempt at polishing by a Caucasian sword polisher. Blade is signed and has 2 mekugi holes, overall length is aprox. 33 1/2" and the sharpened edge measures aprox. 26" in length. Provenance: A Jaffrey, NH estate collection. Estimate $300-500
