Very well carved, the mask with fine rounded ocular orbits and protruding eyes, pierced below for the dancer to see out of. The mask with fine striations and black and white pigmentation. Remains of original costume and fiber beard. On a custom base.

Collected in Congo prior to 1970 by Lawson Mooney, former Director of Catholic Aid Agencies; Dr. Kenneth Adelman, former US Deputy Ambassador to the UN, and one time member of USAID, Zaire, c. 1975; A NY Private collection.
