New Hampshire Cabinet Maker Labeled Hepplewhite Candle Stand, Curley maple candlestand with an indented corner rectangular top set on an urn turned shaft supported by three spider form legs, 16 1/4" x 16" x 28 3/4" tall, old refinished condition with a cracked top, on the underside of the top is a paper lbel bearing the hand written name "Jeremiah Gooden, Cabinet Maker, Milford" (NH, 1793 - 1840), see page 114 " Plain and Elegant Rich and Common" Documented NH Furniture, NH Historical Society, Concord, NH Exhibition 1978 for another example of his work.
