Three Native American Decorated Throwing Spears, A) Wooden shaft having an oblong pointed iron blade inserted in the end with rawhide wrap to hold it in place, the shaft decorated with blue painted bands and top, the throwing grip is wrapped buffalo hide with fur inside and two bands of fur outside at each end of the grip, 61 1/2" long overall, old color. B) Wooden shaft having an oblong pointed buffalo bone blade inserted in the end with rawhide wrap to hold it in place, the grip is a series of brass domed tacks going around the shaft the other end shows signs of someone hammering on the end (chips etc.), 51 3/4" long overall, old color. C) 20thC rawhide gripped spear with wrought iron blade and brass tack decoration, 43 1/4" long.
