1        5 Russian Labor Registration Cards. Each about 6" by 8" with photo and fingerprints of workers, all dates from 1942.  District Administrator/Braunau am Inn stamps.  All but 1 worker wearing large white & blue "OST" patch on jackets. Names included Alexander Lewych, Hrechori Iwanowixz Kislich, Michail Kobilew, Andreas Schelnowatsch, and Nikolaij Kolosok. Estimate $400 to $600

2        5 Fragebogen Nazi-generated medical personnel questionnaires.  Each titled "Fragebogen zur erstmaligen Meldung der Heilberufe" (questionnaire for initial entrance to the medical profession), 4 page documents with photos in both Polish and German and all marked "Jude".  All data on these entered in type and signed.  Includes Fragebogen for the following Polish individuals A) Lui Jofe B) Srul-Majre Brzxtwa C) Azrijel Herskowicz D) Josef Jozefowicz E) Jakub Manski.  Estimate $700 to $900.

3        3 letters from an Inmate at Auschwitz Concentration Camp.  3 handwritten letters from Eric Pawlicrek, prisoner # 1085, Block 3 inmate to family members.  All on official KL writing paper with instructions at the top and with original green envelopes addressed to his wife Veronika.  Postage stamps removed.  Estimate $250 to $500.

4        Book/Booklet "Der Lohn Der Tat'.  Third Reich Recruiting book that contains 31 pages of detailed colored drawings of military awards. 1944. In very good condition.  Estimate $50 to $100

5        4 Broadsides/"Bekanntmachung" from Occupied Poland and pre war postcards.  A) 19" by 25" very fragile pink (faded) SS poster listing 25 names of "Criminals" who acted against the General Government.  The first three individuals had already been executed when this notice was printed Feb 26th 1944, Krakau.  Has been stored folded.  B) Large, green SS poster from Krakau, Poland stating 100 Polish individuals were condemned to death because of bomb attacks on trains.  Printed in German and Polish February 1944. Has been stored folded.  C) Small 8" by 10” white with black printing SS poster declaring that 10 Poles were shot in reprisal for the killing of a Police Lieutenant Hann on 22 May 1944.  Translation accompanies. In excellent condition. D) Approximately 12" by 18" order "Anordnung des Gouverneurs des Distrikts Radom" forbidding beggars to go house to house due to the danger of typhus with severe penalties for anyone violating the order.  Rare poster from the General Government in Poland. E) 8 Polish photo/postcards (3.5" by 5.5" in black and white and color with 3 duplicates) Writing is all in Yiddish.  Subjects include religious class group photos, taking a child to meet a Rabbi, elderly Rabbi, enjoyable home life with radio and cars. All Pre Holocaust cards.  Estimate $500 to 750

6        "The Eternal Jew" (Der Ewige Jude) book and postcards.  Includes A) Book "Der Ewige Jude" (The Eternal Jew) 1937, 128 pages.  Soft cover.   B) Two 1937 promotional postcards for the anti-Semitic show "The Eternal Jew" with yellow background and offensive caricature of a Jew.  Scheduled for exhibition in the library of the German Museum in Munich.  These shows predated the movie of the same name. C) 1938 promotional postcard card for the "Eternal Jew" very similar to above cards.   Estimate $700 to $900

6A     Anti-Semitic propaganda lot.  Includes A) 4 page leaflet "Wenn Dü dieses Zeichen siehst...." (When you see this mark..) Anti-Jewish leaflet with image of yellow Jewish star with "Jude" written on lower right corner.  Extreme hate message...."every Jew is your enemy" etc.  8" by 11”.  B) 1941 Postcard with same cover of "When you see this" leaflet mentioned above.  A product of the SS Main Office. C) 2 small stamps/stickers of a Jewish caricature within a Star of David.  Wording below states “Without a solution to the Jewish problem there can be no salvation for mankind".  1.5" x 2" & 1.75" x 2".  These were apparently intended to be placed upon envelopes. Estimate $300 to $400

6B     Book "De Joden in Nederland".  Soft cover "De Juden in Holland" (the Jews in Holland) by Hans Graf von Monts.  Small 9" by 6" publication.  Nazi published in Holland.  Dutch language.  63 pages of anti-Semitic text and black and white photos.  Has reference to Henry Ford.  Estimate $75 to $125

7        9 German armbands and sleeve bands.  Includes DAF (German Labor Front) armband with "Unterlagerführer" on orange band with blue DAF cogged wheel insignia, Gestapo white armband with stretch attachment with French & German "M.G. POLICE - M.R. POLIZEI"  (Military Government Police) , Deutsche Wehrmacht, German Military - Non-Members Of The Armed Forces, 3 German Military  -  "Im Dienst Der Deutschen Wehrmacht" and a few others.  See photos.  Estimate $300 to $400

9        2 German belts with belt buckles.  A) SA open face buckle.  Chocolate brown wide leather belt.  RZM marked.   B)  RZM and M4/24/1 (Buckle Only) 60mm wide brown leather belt with gold colored political leader buckle.  Complete with both keepers.  Belt is the first pattern with claw buckle holes neatly filled with leather.  Late war use. Estimate $200 to $300

10      Foreign armbands and Insignia lot.   12 items total.  Includes: A) F.F.I. (French Resistance) armband from Paris section of the French Resistance.  White cotton with blue, white and red vertical stripes and Cross of Lorraine.  Ink property stamp.  B) F.F.I. (French Resistance) armband.  Red, white and blue with buckle at rear.  Cross of Lorraine on either side of "F.F.I." C)   Cloth Insignia for Polish Slave Laborer.  Two identical patches.  Purple “P” on yellow with purple border.  Approximately 2" square.  Required wear by all Poles forced to work in Germany.   D) Warsaw Home Army armband with red and white stripe and embroidered Polish eagle in silver wire.  E) Polish ID rectangular pin F) Ukrainian hat badge. G) 5 pieces of what appear to be Japanese uniform insignia.    Estimate $200 to $250

11      First Class, Order of the German Eagle.  Rare lot, includes  First Class Cross (8 pointed silver star marked "900" and "21" on clasp of the badge) with a smaller version without the star points suspended from sash (suspension ring on the smaller cross is also marked "900".  Believe this to be the 1939 version.   All in excellent condition.  Estimate $4000 to $6000

12      Iron Cross 2nd class.  2 Iron Crosses both 2nd class in excellent unissued condition in original tissue wrap and paper presentation packets.  Brown paper envelopes are marked "Eisernes Kreuz - 2 Klasse - 1939" on front and marked on back in oval circle "Josef Feix Sohne, Gablonz a.d.N”.  Complete with unissued ribbons (one attached).  Estimate $125 to $175

13      Aerial Leaflets dropped on Germans by United States.  16 pieces total.    Most with translations probably from an officers file to be used as illustrations.  Intended to be dropped from aircraft over enemy lines or fired over the enemy using artillery shells.  Includes "Die Letzten Reserven" in 4 languages and one leaflet meant for Italian consumption. Estimate  $150 to $250

14      Aerial leaflets dropped on Germans.  15 pieces total.  Most with translations probably from an officers file to be used as illustrations.  Intended to be dropped from aircraft over enemy lines or fired over the enemy using artillery shells.  Includes "Feldpost", "Where is the Luftwaffe?" and "One Minute Could Save your Life".   Estimate $150 to $250

15      Lot of Dr. Joseph Goebbels stationary, cards, and writing paper. 18 pieces Includes 3 postcards and studio photograph of him,  calling cards from him and his wife, letterhead and stationary, 2 party invitation cards (Reichsminister Dr. Goebbels und Frau Goebbels, embossed eagle and swastika,  script style lettering and “Der Reichsminister für Volksaufklarung und Propaganda und Frau Goebbels”.  Unused.  Roman style lettering. ) birth, engagement and wedding congratulations cards.  All in good to excellent condition. Estimate $800 to $1200

16      Nazi propaganda, anti-Semitic press package.  67 unbound photo pages/page proofs for an unknown publication.  Theme is extremely anti-Semitic and anti-British.  Possibly for one of Julius Streicher's publications.  Unknown if they were ever published. Circa 1939.  Estimate $500 to $1000

17      WWI Iron Cross 1st class.  1914 pin back in original lined presentation case.  Estimate $125 to $175

18      Albert Speer Documents, Nuremberg trial.  Includes A) Original Draft of Speers Declaration at Nuremberg.  Bound black document case titled "Opening Declaration of Albert Speer Before The International Military Tribunal, Nuremberg, Nov, 21, 1945 - Original Draft".  Set consists of:  1. Original draft of Speer's answer to the charges (2 pages) typewritten with his signature and corrections and notes.  2.  2 copies of the final draft (typewritten). 3) Translations  B) 2 typed letters written by Speer to the consignor (David Cheney) both from the 70's and signed by Speer regarding research questions posed by Mr. Cheney who later opened the Museum "Crossing the Wire".  Estimate $2500 to $5000

22      NSDAP Party Administrator flag, Mosel.   Large flag in very good condition with "N.S.D.A.P., Amt fur Beamte, Mosel" in upper corner.  Flag is 46" x 54" with silver fringe, vertical swastika and chrome  pole rings.   Estimate $700 to $900

23      German Aerial propaganda leaflets dropped on US, British and German troops by the Germans. 5 pieces. Includes A) "While You Are Away", drawing of nude with GI.  Text on reverse aimed at the British. Good to very good condition.  Leaflet number - A1-046-8-44. B) "Die Faster, Pals!" Anti-Semitic leaflet blaming the war and casualties on Jews.  In English for distribution over British and American positions.  # 1304-1-45 C) "The Inevitable Faith of Democracy" incorrect translation into English.  "Faith" should have been "Fate". 6" by “3 SKJ 2011. D) "I Can't Say It!" Cautions German soldiers not to answer questions if captured. E) "Der Dolch Ist Ob" German message for German soldiers.  Warns them not to listen to enemy broadcasts as it will put them in deadly danger.  Somewhat erroneous general translation written in at bottom by GI.  Red, white, black.  RARE.  Estimate $125 to $175

26      101st Airborne / 506th PIR lot.  Large lot that belonged to Charles Dix a member of the 506th Parachute Infantry of the United States.  Includes promotion document for Dix, a 506th PIR vehicle I.D tag (metal plate), 2 booklets on the 101st Airborne Division, 1942 Parachute training manual, personal photographs, Christmas card-101st & 506th insignia, Christmas dance announcement 1944, Army pass/railway ticket England, PIR booklets and miscellaneous articles, personal certificates, Maps of France where he marked personal notes about locations on the map and newspaper clippings.  Together in large binder.  Estimate $500 to $750

27      Steel warning signs in Polish language.  5 total, all of them enamel over steel, relatively small and circa WW2.  Includes A) 2 of them reportedly from Auschwitz depicting skull & crossbones with a red lightning bolt thru it and in Polish "NIE DOTYKAC!  URZADZENIE ELEKTRYCZNE!" (Stay Away!  Electrified Fence!), each is 6" by 10" with drilled holes for mounting in each corner.  B) A third smaller sign in Polish roughly translates a Prohibition regarding carrying water in containers that previously held explosive, corrosive, smelly materials (?). C) Small caution sign in German with red lettering "Vorsicht  bei gesprachen! feind hort mit".  D) Small sign "Dla niepalacych.  Estimate based on the fact that we have no supporting documentation regarding provenance other than the consignors museums notes.  Estimate $600 to $3000

28      2 German weapons and Insignia Catalogs.   A) "50 Jahre, Orden U. EhrenZeichen” 50th anniversary catalog of the Steinhauer & Luck insignia company of Ludenscheid.  20 pages of medals and badges. B) "Paul Seilheimer, Solingen" edged weapons catalog of the Seilheimer Co. in Solingen, Germany.  8 pages.  Both in very good to excellent condition.  Estimate $50 to $100

29      German  Aerial propaganda leaflets dropped on US, British and Australian troops by the Germans. 6 pieces. Includes A) "Death-Doomsday 1944/Life-Nov. 1944". One side has skull with helmet.  Other side has nude.  Made to look like covers of Life Magazine.  Used by Germans during the Italian campaign. B) "Come and See For Yourselves”, # SKJ2012 1945 C) "This Is The Way The Future Is Made...POW Life Assurance Co." D) "When Will The War Be Over?”,  late war 648 SKIC E) 2 identical "Beach-Head.. Deaths Head" April 1944. All in good to very good condition with the exception of one of the Beach-Head’s which has a large corner missing. Estimate $75 to $150.

30      Anti Semitic propaganda for US audiences.  Includes A) "The Jew Menace" by R.A. Engle. A 9" x4" pamphlet.  17 pages of anti-Semitic hate. Apparently printed by a pro-Nazi group prior to the war and based upon Nazi propaganda and terminology.  No publisher or date. B) Vehement anti-Semitic broadside titled "Onward Christian Soldiers" condemning Jews, 8" by 14", black & white.  Dated January 10th 1939 with address of Robert E. Edmondson, New York listed for copies. Rare example of US anti-Semitism.  C) Book "Adolf Hitler, From Speeches 1933-1938" Edited by Richard Monnig, printed in Berlin in English.  92 pages.  D) Booklet "Germany's Fight for Western Civilization". 32 page anti-Semitic publication that was obtained by an American women attending the 1936 Olympics in Germany.  Printed in English with text & photos.  Deals with the non-German Jewish immigrants to Germany destroying German society and culture. Otto Jamrowski. Editor...Buchdruckwerkstätte GmbH., Berlin.  E) "North American Program" rare English language German shortwave radio program guide for April, 1936 from the German propaganda ministry for zone 5.  Estimate $250 to $300

31      Waffen SS Paper lot.  Includes: A) recruiting leaflet "Nous Sommes Des Traitres" French language. 6" by 9" showing Wallonie divisional pennant on barrel of gun with text on reverse.  AFPA 3761 in lower left corner.  B) 4 small original black and white photographs 3 of which depict Waffen SS personnel.  C) 2 period postcards depicting SS soldiers (one titled "Melde Dich Freiwillig Zur Waffen-SS".  Estimate $75 to $125

32      Nazi Party podium banner with red field and gold wire swastika, borders and fringe.  Reverse of flag is stamped multiple times "KREISTAG 1942/GREVENMACHER"   Very heavy flag.  This flag was taken from a hotel in Echternach, Luxembourg in Feb. of 1945.   42" long by 39".  Estimate $350 to 500

33      German uniform insignia.  5 pieces. Includes pair of silver and black bullion cord on dark green ground shoulder boards and 3 other miscellaneous cloth patches.  Estimate $150 to $250

34      German collar patches and  insignia.  Includes SS, Allgemeine-SS collar patches/tabs and metal deaths head hat insignia. 6 pieces total.  Estimate $200 to $300

35      German postal service, stamp cancel plate.  Engraved cancelling plate made of curved steel with eagle and swastika and the words "Deutsches Reich".  Very rare and unique item.  Estimate $1200 to $1400

36      German "Mother's Cross" medals.   Includes one each in gold, silver and bronze (Gold in original case) and a miniature silver cross.  Estimate $75 to $125

37      Political artwork by "Fips", Philip Ruprecht (cartoonist for Der Sturmer).  A single panel with  6 pen & ink original drawings by "Fips" (Philip Ruprecht) the cartoonist for "Der Sturmer".  Probably never published as they were intended for the last week of April 1945 issue  (16/45 code date).  Anti-Semitic theme.  RARE.  Panel had been folded at one point and there is tearing where the crease was.  Estimate $500 to $700

38      German 4 piece Mess kit.  Stainless mess kit all stamped with Waffen Eagle over swastika and some with "GAG" in box and "41" and "42" .  Estimate $75 to $100

39      German telephone tapping device.   Telephone, Communications Monitoring Set or Phantom Box.   Small wooden box with earphone and telephone plug.  Has wiring diagram plate and a switch for calls.  "NTT 1934 "and "WaA39" Military Acceptance Stamp and "1941" on earphone.  This unit was possibly used to monitor phone lines from the Hermann Göring Research Institute.  Estimate $200 to $300.

40      German occupied documents and posters and German map of Litzmannstadt.  6 Pieces.  Includes A) Notice that warns Polish citizens to obey German occupation troops and refrain from sabotage, strikes and resistance.  In German and Polish. 16" x23", red, white and black with eagle and swastika.   Rare occupation poster and fragile. B) Bekanntmachung (Public Notice) - (Turn In Firearms) Informs Ukrainian civilian population to turn in all firearms and weapons under the penalty of death.  Printed in German, Ukrainian and Russian.  Large, black, eagle & swastika at top of poster. 16.25" x11.5", brown with black printing. Stored and remains folded C)  In Ukrainian language only.  Supposedly regulations for wear of yellow Jewish star, etc.  8.25" x11.5", light brown with black printing.  Needs translation. Stored and remains folded. D) Blue and white public notice document from the Hague with instructions for Jews to register with the police that comes with a second document (1 page Jewish registration form filled out by a Jacob David Perlberg).  Dated 6 March 1941.  Dutch language.  Very rare. Both the notice and form are titled "Anmeldingsformulier voor een persoon" E) Bekanntmachung that warns Polish town officials that they will answer with their lives for resistance activity in their areas.  In German and Polish. Rare occupation poster and fragile.12"x 18", red, white and black with eagle & swastika. Stored and remains folded F) "Plan von Litzmannstadt" German map of Litzmannstadt (Lodz, Poland).  Shows ghetto area.  Germans renamed all streets in the city and assigned letters and numbers to the ghetto area.  27" by 37".   Estimate $700 to $1000

41      Nazi German Nbg.-Altstadt-S. flag.  Red field with black swastika on white ground surrounded by silver bullion fringe on 3 sides with nickel plated pole rings.  Black panel with white piped edge in corner of flag reads "Nbg.-Altstadt-S.  15".   Estimate $500 to $700

42      6 Fragebogen Nazi-generated medical personnel questionnaires.  Each titled "Fragebogen zur erstmaligen Meldung der Heilberufe" (questionnaire for initial entrance to the medical profession), 4 page documents with photos.  5 in German, Polish and Russian and the 6th in just German and Polish.  Includes framed forms that were part of the consignors museum display for a Dr. Israel Engelberg.  This is an example of a duplicate of an identical one with an X thru it and his date of death written in as 5 May 1942.  This form has an Auschwitz record entry stamp of 3 Dec. 1942, 7 months after he died at Auschwitz.  The 4 others include 2 women and 2 men whose names are illegible (one of them also with a date of death on the top as well.  Estimate $800 to $1000

43      Der Stürmer publication lot.  Includes: A) 14 issues of Julius Streicher's Der Stürmer news papers in excellent to mint condition.  Issue dates:  Mar. 1936, July 1936, Sept. 1936, Mar. 1940,  26 Nov. 1942, 10 Dec. 1942,  7 Jan. 1943,  25 Mar. 1943,  6 May 1943, 13 May, 1943,  22 July 1943,  18 Nov. 1943,  23 Dec. 1943,  11 Jan. 1945.   B) Wooden Holder For Der Stürmer Newspaper 24" x 1” red painted wood with steel spring to hold newspaper.  "Antisemitisches Wochenblatt Der Sturmer" (Weekly edition of the anti-Semitic Der Sturmer) and swastika in white written over read paint.  Probably used by street vendors to display the latest edition.  C) A Subscription form (Bestellschein) for Der Stürmer in excellent to mint condition  D) Three similar Advertising posters/flyers for Der Stürmer in Very good condition.  Estimate  $800 to $1000

44      Autographed Photograph of Hitler.  Photograph depicts Hitler standing before a podium before a large crowd of high ranking officials.  Quill pen signed and dated by Hitler 1939.  In small wooden frame under glass, photograph is 4" by 5.75".   Estimate $1200 to $1600

45      Autographed Photograph of Dr. Goebbels. Photograph of Dr. Joseph Goebbels seated and delivering a speech in front of 2 microphones while 4 men (3 in uniform) stand behind him.  Quill pen signed "Dr. Goebbels".  5" by 6.5" in wooden frame under glass.  Estimate $900 to $1200

50      Autographed Photograph of Karl Hermann Frank. Photograph depicts Frank on far right with Konrad Henlein & Hermann Esser also in the picture.  Heydrich may be on far left.   Quill pen signed, dedicated and dated November 10th 1938.   by 10.75" framed under glass.  Estimate $600 to $800

51      Photograph of Theodor Eicke.  Large photograph (not original) appears to be from a wartime German publication.  Removed from frame there is a photograph of a baby underneath the photograph with illegible German inscription in pencil and a sheet stating "This book is a collaborative effort of the SS war correspondent" (translated from German).  Estimate $50 to $100

52      German medals.  4 pieces.  Includes Commemorative medal for the return of the "Memellands, 22nd Marz 1939" and 2 SS 4 and 8 year service medals (including a matching miniature 8 year service medal.  The 4 year and 8 year service medals are unissued in original tissue paper with blue ribbons.  Estimate $250 to $300

53      2 documents related to proof of ancestry.  A) "Prüfungsergebnis, Gau Wien" racial certificate.  Blue background with Eagle and Swastika.  B) Postcard from Reichskulturkammer Stuttgart addressed to a Jakob Müller.  Typewritten. Translates to:  “Since the Proof of Aryan Ancestry must be produced in duplicate, I ask you to fill out the enclosed form.  Furthermore, I request the specific affidavit showing the baptismal date of your grandmother on your fathers side”.  Dated January 10th 1936. Estimate $75 to $100

54      2  Nazi Transport Documents for Prisoner Conveyance.  Includes A) "Transportzettel für die Gefangenen-Beförderung"     (Transport Document for Prisoner Conveyance) 4 page document.  Prisoner was named "Timirbeckow"(?) and transported from Giessen to Frankfurt a/m and the Gestapo prison. Dated June 4th 1943.  In good condition  B) "Transportzettel für die Gefangenen-Beförderung" (Transport Document for Prisoner Conveyance) 4 page document. Prisoner was named Louise Voss(?).  Transported from Limburg to Frankfurt a/m and the Gestapo prison. Dated June 15th 1943.  In very good condition.  Estimate $200 to $400

54A   Jewish property tax bill and notification..  Near top of document "Bescheid über die Judenvermögensabgabe" (Information Regarding The Jewish Personal Property Tax) from the German Government - Issued Out Of Magdeburg and dated February 6th 1939.  Very rare document informing a Jewish resident of Magdeburg of the amount of tax due the State in payment for "damages" on the night of 9 Nov. 1938 "Kristallnacht" when Nazis looted and burned Jewish property, businesses and synagogues and later blamed the Jews.

54B    Notice of evacuation / resettlement.  Small notification ticket (Delivery Ticket) for evacuation or "resettlement" to the East for Valerie Pick (born 6 Aug 1876) who died in the Lodz Ghetto on February 17th 1942.  Comes with envelope stating that "she has already been evacuated" (and to return to sender).  Consignor obtained information on Valerie from the Theresienstadt Martyrs Remembrance Association which is included.  Estimate $200 to $400

55      3 letters from doctors at Buchenwald concentration camp.  A) Invoice (Rechnung) for the Camp doctor of Concentration Camp Buchenwald dated November 14th 1940 that lists deliveries & prices of medical equipment from 30 July 1940 to 2 Oct. 1940 delivered to Buchenwald KL.  Items include hollow chisel forceps or tongs, bone splinter tongs, cuticle forceps, etc.  Detailed translation included.  B) Medical equipment order from Buchenwald addressed to "An das Bakteriolgische Institut, Jena" dated October 17th 1938.  More a purchase order for 50 blood bags than a letter.  Initialed by or for the then camp doctor, SS officer, Dr. Erwin Ding-Schuler(?). Letter is half page size with 2 binder holes C) To "Firma Walter Füllenbach, Jena" from Buchenwald camp doctor dates February 14th 1941. Requests a urethra catheter with optic from the Füllenbach firm in Jena.  Initials believed to be camp doctor, SS Untersturmführer (2nd Lt.) Dr. Wagner.  Letter is half page size with 2 binder holes.   Estimate $ $250 to $500

56      Documents from a US family with 2 members who were prisoners of war.    Collection from the Mauri Family of Saint Louis  who had a son Robert who was in the US army serving in Europe In 1944 and became a prisoner of war  and a nephew Wilhelm Mauri who was a private first class in the German Army and later a prisoner of war in the German POW camp at camp Polk Louisiana.  Documents for Robert include a US draft notice,  4 letters from him to his family including 3 "V Mail" letters with miniature envelopes, Letter from the US War Dept with envelope to Katherine Mauri (wife of Robert) informing her of his death after he had been previously been reported missing in action but information provided by the Red Cross stated that he had actually been a prisoner of war and died as a result of an illness, and finally a Notice of life insurance settlement from the VA for Robert's beneficiary (appears to be his father).  Also includes a letter from the German nephew "Willi" (Roberts’s cousin) to his aunt and uncle asking for a suitcase.    Estimate $500 to $700

57      2 Mauthausen concentration camp prisoner death notice's.  A) Death certificate dated March 1940 which states that Job Metz, a 41 year old Jewish prisoner died in Mauthausen of "chronic illness and a heart attack" Prisoners working in registration offices made up reasons for deaths and this was a commonly used fabrication.    B) Small form letter notifying wife of KZ prisoner that he died of a lung infection.  Body was cremated.  Letter states certificate of death available for 72 pfennigs.  Signed by an SS-Untersturmführer.  Lung disease was another common reason listed as cause of death. Individual's name is illegible.  Estimate  $500 to $750

58      Concentration camp and Ghetto currency, paper money.    Includes: A) Buchenwald "Standort-Kantine" 2RM note marked "Wertmarke 15473" in good condition.  B) 4 pieces from Flossenburg Camp. 3 blue paper notes, 1 brown paper note.  All valued at 1 Mark.  Waffen-SS marked.  C) 4 pieces of Littzmannstadt (Lodz) Ghetto money dated May 15th 1940 in uncirculated condition. All were for use within Lodz Ghetto and represent receipts (Quittung) for German currency.  2 - 20 Mark (#239708 & 238480), 1 - 1 Mark (#366813), 1 - 50 Pfennig (#862310).  These were known as "Rumskies". D) 7 pieces for use within Theresienstadt Ghetto and representing receipts (Quittung) for Czech currency. 1 each of the following: 1 Krone, 2 Kronen, 5 Kronen, 10 Kronen, 20 Kronen, 50 Kronen, 100 Kronen. With original vertical hanger .  Anodized scabbard.  Nickel plated bottom mount has 2 small creases and a dent to the ball.   SS grip insignia is slightly tipped and blade has a nick and rub marks from scabbard. 179A    Nazi Naval Officers dagger. Dagger's blade is mounted with gilded brass fittings and is its scabbard. Nice all original and untouched old color to all gilt surfaces, this dagger does not appear to have ever been polished. Acid etched dagger blade is in very good condition and shows only light normal wear from drawing and re-sheathing. Scabbard shows bumps and bruises from shipboard duty wear. Eagle pommel faces outward when worn, a scarce example noted in works by this particular maker. Blade is stamped with the scroll over "Original Eickhorn Solingen". Estimate $700 to $800

179B    Circa 1939 Nazi Heer (Army) dagger. Dagger's grip is of a white plaster filled plastic with a wooden base. Dagger's blade is maker marked with the Puma inside a diamond over the word "Solingen". Blade is in well greased, excellent condition. The dagger's silver plated sheath and fittings appear untouched and still show the original dark color beneath the factory burnished surfaces. A nice early untouched example. Estimate $400 to $500

179C  Early SA dagger in anodized brown scabbard with belt hanger.  Handle has a small chip to the right of the "SA" logo and a tiny hairline directly above the "A" in SA.  Nickel plated cross guard is impressed with an "H" and what looks like a lower case "e" after the H.  Blade bears the makers mark "Wagner & Lange, Solingen". Blade is in very good condition showing only drag marks from drawing and sheathing.  Estimate $500 to $700
