over 4 graduated drawers with original oval eagle and shield
brasses, cock beaded case, applied bracket base, 41 1/2" case width
x 37 1/2" tall, old if not original stained surface. Provenance: A

6 Stick Back Writing Windsor Arm Chair, old red paint
wash, some surface wear, 19th c., New England, 38 1/2" tall x 33"
deep to edge of writing arm. See "The Decorator", Fall 2005, Volume

case with 1 drawer set on 4 tapered legs, remains of a red wash, 27"

11 Peter Stretch Tall Clock, 8 day brass works, signed on
the lower edge of the brass dial, "Peter Stretch, Philadelphia,"
time, strike & calendar movement, walnut case with old finish and a
bulls eye window, fine condition overall. Peter Stretch was the
second fully corroborated clock maker in Philadelphia in 1702, 92
1/2" tall. Provenance: A Hershey, PA collector, Pook & Pook
Auctioneers, exhibited at the "Lancaster County Tall Clocks", March
1993, # 4.

12 Charles Townsend Tall Clock, 8 day brass time & strike
works with moon phase painted iron dial, calendar & seconds smaller
dials and signed on the face, "Charles Townsend, Philadelphia,
(1799-1804), mahogany case with broken arch bonnet, base missing,
95" tall, appears to be in working condition. Provenance: A Hershey,
PA collection.

13 Jacob Gorgas Jr. Tall Clock, 8 day brass works with
time strike and calendar movement, signed on the painted iron dial,
"Jacob Gorgas, Hinkletown," walnut case with broken arch bonnet and
ogee feet, 95 1/2" tall, ca. 1800, appears to be in fine working
condition. Provenance: A Hershey, PA collection, exhibited at the
Hershey Museum, "Lancaster County Tall Clocks", March 1993 #9.

crest, bulbous front stretcher turned styles and legs ending in ball

clearly marked made in 1929, fully reconditioned just prior to the
