1     Oushak Oriental rug with an open red field surrounded by a foliate border in green, gold and red. Early 20th century with minor wear. 10' by 11'.

2     Scholars desk box with paneled doors and drawers, dovetailed case and drawers, probably 19th century, Chinese, 25" wide by 11.5" by 8.75" deep.

3     Double arm brass student lamp with center and two side reservoirs banded with embossed foliate decoration set on an embossed base, replaced shades, 22" tall. Marked "P A Duplex". 19th/20th century.

4     Portrait of a seated woman in a black dress reading a book, a plaid shawl covering her shoulders. Oil on canvas, unsigned, lined, frame in rough condition. 28" by 24.5" sight. Not Shown.

5     Mahogany veneer kneehole desk with 2 banks of 4 drawers flanking a center drawer over a cupboard door set on a flat molded base with wooden knobs. 45" wide by 20.5" deep by 28.5" tall. 19th century English.

6     Camphor wood trunk covered in dark green leather with floral decoration on the top sides and front with brass edging and nail heads as accents. Mid 19th century Chinese export. 36" wide by 16" high by 18.25" deep.

7     Pair of Chinese export Famille Rose deep dishes with a center flower, 10.5" diameter, minor hair lines and decoration loss, with 2 similar 8.5" plates 18th/19th century.

8     Chinese export Armorial decorated shaped covered vegetable dish with orange banding, 9.5" wide. 18th/19th century.

9     Pigskin box painted red with gold floral decoration set on a wooden oriental base with 4 bracket feet. 19th/20th century Chinese. 26.5" wide.

10     Lot of Chinese export Famille Rose including teapot (6" tall, chipping to lid), a 5" teapot with swags of roses (roughness to spout) and 2 handle-less cups and 3 saucers (1 broken). 18th/19th century.

11     Chinese export tea pot with a twisted handle and blue and gold decoration on the lid and top. A cartouche with initials on the side. Good condition with minor wear to the gold. 5.5" tall including the flower form finial. 19th century.

12     Kerman oriental scatter rug with a center medallion, arched motif at either end, and a foliate border. Blue and red on a cream background, 48" by 86".

13     2 Tortoise shell tea caddies, 6.25" and 5.25" respectively, probably early 20th century England.

14     Antonio Jacobsen (1859-1921, New York/New Jersey) Oil on canvas of the steam ship, "Antilia", signed lower right "A. Jacobsen, 1904, 31 Pali---, N.-., -----------". Newer frame, lined, 21" by 15.5" sight.

15     Mahogany Pembroke breakfast table, the top with indented corner drop leaves over a skirt with a single drawer. Tiger maple panels above carved Sheraton legs ending in castors, 38.5" long by 28" tall.

16     Pair silvered brass candle sticks. Ornately shell decorated detachable bobeche, mid section and bases, Hallmarked on one base "D G", 10.75" tall, 18th century European.

17     Pair candle sticks with hexagonal bases, silver over brass with an ornate chased design, probably 18th century French/Dutch. 7" tall.

18     Silver castor set with 6 Irish crystal bottles (two having silver tops), Hallmarked "Head, lion passant, F & W.B" (probably William Bateman, London, circa1800).

22     John Ferren (1905-1970, New York) Abstract oil on canvas titled, dated and signed on the verso "The Head", J. Ferren, 1/50. Some paint loss to surface, newer frame. 36" by 24" sight.

23     Currier and Ives Print "A Crack Team at a Smashing Gate", repair to upper margin into the the roof line. 24.5" by 16.25" plate size, Published by Currier & Ives, 152 Nassau Street New York. In a Birdseye maple frame.

24     Oil on canvas Portrait of a young woman seated with a Brooklyn Museum label on the back of the stretcher "Emil Fuchs Bequest". 23" by 29" sight. Frame is from another painting.

25     6 mahogany veneer Biedermeier side chairs with an oval carved back, caned seat and 4 legs. The front being saber shaped, early 19th century Continental, 18" seat height, 35 1/2" overall height.

26     William Michael Harnet (1848-1892, Philadelphia) Pencil on paper of "Staten Island", "After the Hunt", signed in monogram lower left "William Michael Harnet", dated 1872, William Michael Harnett, provenance on the reverse; Alfred Frankenstein. 5" by 8" sight.

33     Ceramic Lot: Blue and white Laughing Buddha, 8.5" tall with 2 polychrome laughing children (4.5" tall), probably 19th century Chinese, and an Imari style saucer with a crack.

34     Howard L Hill (_-1870, New York) "Setters on Point" Oil on canvas of hunting dogs a the edge of a field with a hunter in the background. 24" by 32" sight in a birds eye maple frame. Signed lower right "H. Hill". Provenance: Frank S. Schwartz, Philadelphia to a private collector.

35     Mahogany dish top tilt and turn bird cage candle stand with a baluster turned shaft supported by 3 cabriole legs ending in pad feet raised on platforms. Philadelphia area. Top is 21.75" wide and height is 29.75", 18th century.

36     Pair of  Famille Rose ginger Jars, one having a damaged lid, 9" tall, late 19th/early 20th century, marked china on the bottom.

37     Tiffany sterling silver dinner service including 6 dinner knives, 6 dinner forks 6 desert/salad forks, 6 pudding and 6 teaspoons in the Hampton pattern, marked "Tiffany & Co. Sterling M Pat".

38     Lunt tea set numbered from 2600 t0 2604 including a coffee pot, tea pot, covered sugar, creamer and a tall waste, together with an ornate silver plated handled tray with shells at the 4 corners, 20th century.

41     Francis Henry Beaugureau (20th century American, Western Art) watercolor on paper of a man salmon fishing signed lower right "Beaugureau". 21" by 12.5" sight, framed and matted.

42     Hamadan Oriental scatter Rug with a beige central medallion on a red field filled with geometric designs surrounded by 3 borders filled with designs, overcast edge.

43     Kurdish Kazak Caucasian oriental rug with vegetable colors predominantly cream blue, and brick and a center field with 2 geometric cross forms in a brick field with other small geometric designs surrounded by 2 bands with geometric designs. Late 19th/early 20th century. 42" by 78", worn.

44     Elmer Livingston Macrae (1875-1953, Cos Cob Conn.) Oil on canvas "Knoll with Haystack", #54 in the Exhibition by the Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich, Connecticut Armory Show of 1913. Original pamphlet included. 30" by 26" sight with original gilded frame. Under glass. A Haystack in the foreground with trees in the background and a house to the left, signed lower right "E. L. Macrae 1911".

45     Chippendale Walnut trifid foot side chair with an arched cupids bow crest, a central shell, a parrots beak splat and arched styles over slightly rounded corner seat rails tennoned through the styles, set on 2 raking rounded rear legs. 2 cabriole front legs with shell carved knees and stockings leading into trifid feet with curlicues at both sides. 18th century Philadelphia.

46     Oval shaped Canton covered vegetable, 9.5" long, mid 19th century Chinese.

47     Blue and white tile depicting travelers in the mountains with a central tree, 9.5" by 13.5" sight, framed, 19th century Chinese.

48     Hand colored print of a bird, after the Frischs; Ferdinand, the elder, Philipp, the son and Johann, the grandson, Berlin, circa 1750, 7.75" by 12.5" plate size.

49     Audubon hand colored print of "Snow Birds", drawn by J. J. Audubon. Engraved, printed & colored by Havell, plate size 12" by 20", 26" by 39.5" paper size. Framed, 19th century American.

50     Audubon elephant folio hand colored print "Brant Geese", 34.75" by 20.5" sight, matted, yellowing to print, cut at plate edge, title cut out and affixed to matt, framed, 19th century American.

51     Hamadan oriental rug with a dark brick central diamond shaped medallion containing animal figures surrounded by multiple geometric borders. 55" by 68" with some wear. Not Shown

52     Mahogany Chippendale mirror with scrolled top and bottom. Small repairs at the bottom. Circa 1780, American or English, 40" tall.

53     Brass Astral Lamp set on a marble base with probably the original frosted/etched shade with cut glass prisms. Electrified, 20.5" tall. 19th century.

54     Bernard de Hoog (1867- ?) Dutch, Oil on canvas interior scene of an older child watching a younger child sleep. Some paint loss around the frame, signed lower right "de Hoog", appears lined and in a newer gold frame. Not removed from frame. 23.5" x 17.75" sight.

55     Set of 8 Mahogany Philadelphia style dining chairs with straight legs and carved crests. One arm chair labeled on the bottom "Huntington Furniture Corp., Huntington, West Virginia".

56     Pair of highly figured grey, red and white marble urns with Brass finial, brass base and brass mounts in the form of floral swags and goose neck handles. 18" tall, 19th century Continental.

57     J. Moigniez (Jules, 1835-1894, French) bronze pheasant cock standing on rock looking at a lizard. Signed on base. 20.5" long.

58     Blue and floral decorated Champleve and enamel garniture set consisting of a clock & and two candlesticks all with bronze mounts done in the Chinese taste. Late 19th century French. Retailed By Shreve Crump and Lowe, Boston. Clock 15.75" tall and candle sticks 11" tall.

59     E. Bare (Emile, French 19th century) oil on Board (wood) of a Parisian Street scene near the Arche de Triomphe signed lower right "E. BARE". 10" by 8.25" sight with yellowing and wear at edge of frame. Framed in probably original gold frame.

60     William Couper (1853-1942) bronze figure of a man signed and titled on the base "Abram Stevens Hewitt", industrialist and mayor of N.Y. City in 1886. Foundry mark on the base "Henry Bonnard Bronze Co., Founders, New York, 1903". 25" tall. See Attached information.

61     Brass bell form mantle clock with raised decoration. Resembles an early Vatican bell, enameled dial indistinctly signed by New York retailer. French late 19th/early 20th century. 13" tall.

62     Black marble and brass 3 piece mantle clock set with Oriental decoration depicting dragon side mounts. Plaque on the clock case shows a street scene and each vase has a mixed metal cast figure of a woman in a flowing dress. French late 19th century. 18" tall to the clock finial.

63     Empire figural brass mantle clock. The enameled dial is set into the side of hill and a boy is seated next to a small bush all of which is set on a stepped footed base with molded leaf designs at the step. French mid 19th century, 14" tall.

64     Wilhelm Velten (Russian /German 1847-1929) oil on panel painting of 3 horsemen conversing with a lady outside of a house. Signed lower right "V Velten". Set in an ornate gilded frame which is titled "Hunting Morn". 13" by 9.75" sight.

65     Hepplewhite style mahogany 3 part banquet table consisting of 2 half round sections which couple with a center drop leaf section to create a table 122" long. The apron and legs are inlaid to resemble a period table. Probably made by Kittenger or some Company of that quality.

66     2 Delft blue and white garniture vases- one has a flaring top with oriental decoration (10.5" tall) the other has a multisided baluster form with floral decoration and is 10" tall. Both with chips.

67     Blue and white Delft plate depicting an oriental woman in a garden, 8.75" diameter, some chipping and probably Dutch late 18th century.

68     Blue and white Delft plate depicting 2 oriental figures in a room, 10.25" diameter, some edge chipping and probably Dutch early 18th century.

69     Polychrome Delft and pewter divided planter with a flaring delft bowl that has been mounted with a divided pewter top section and a base supported by 4 ball feet. 8" across and 5" tall, the delft bowl appears to be Dutch 18th century.

70     Sheraton mahogany card table with serpentine form and a molded edge top and simulated cookie corners over a line inlaid apron supported by turned and reeded legs. Mass or NH circa 1805, 36" wide.

71     Sterling basket with foliate decorated handle, a pierced flared rim over a cup shaped body set on a pedestal base. Overall engraved decoration, 21" tall including handle.

71A     Sterling silver pitcher with a foliate edge around the rim and base, beads at the base of the spout and shaped handle. 8" tall, initialed, marked "Treasure", 20th century.

72     3 pieces of American coin silver marked "J. (Jacob) Britton, Philadelphia, 1807" (sugar, creamer and waste) all with foliate band and ball feet together with a covered sugar with Greek banding marked "W. Thomson, NYC, 1810".

73     Solid silver loving cup with 2 handles on either side that are foliate decorated at the tops ending in rams heads at the bottom. Fluting around the bowl over a pedestal base, circa 1813, "Robert Grey & Co., Glasgow", 9.25" tall.

73A     English solid silver pierced tray with an engraved castle at the center, marked "Robert Garrard, London 1821-1850".  13" diameter, circa 1840.

74     Coin silver pitcher, the body with chased decoration, marked "Boston, Coin, M&P". Mid 19th century, 6.5" tall to top of the handle.

74A     Repoussé Coin silver tea service including a teapot, covered sugar, and a covered creamer. Marked on the bottom "H. Salisbury, W&H" (Ward & Hughes) together with a similar hot water urn (English), a similar sterling tea caddy marked "Black Star & Frost" and a silver plated handled galleried tray. 19th century., hallmarked and initialed.

74B     Mahogany Hepplewhite sideboard with straight front. 1 long drawer over a high shaped skirt flanked by side sections. Left side with a drawer over a deep drawer, the right simulated to resemble the left but is a single deep drawer, at the left end is a simulated long drawer over 2 small doors, one simulated, at the right end the long drawers and two small cupboard doors are simulated. Set on 4 tapered legs with inlaid ovals at the tops and ending in spade feet. Circa 1790, English.

74C     August de Leuw (1817-1888, Germany) Oil on canvas mounted on masonite of a man on horseback leading a group of horses away from a camp. Signed lower right, 30" by 50" sight, original frame.

74D     Sterling silver oval bowl with Chippendale edge, marked "R" on the bottom and initialed. 20th century, 15.5" long.

74E     Gilded Tablet mirror with corner rosettes connecting full spindles set apart from the frame and a wooden panel decorated with a carved basket of flowers flanked by foliage. 25" wide by 47" tall. 19th century American.

75     Hepplewhite paneled front four drawer chest with inlaid cherry and maple swell front and wavy birch drawer fronts. Has a central flame birch panel outlined with mahogany banding on each drawer raised on a base with shaped French feet. New Hampshire, circa 1805.

76     Continental carved and gilded Frame with black painted background and applied carved gilt foliage. A 19th century copy of a 17th century Continental form. Opening is 23.5" by 28.5". Frame edges are each 7" wide.

77     Rare pair of fire gilt wall bronze sconces with 4 foliate decorated arms ending in candle sockets and a center ringed shaft ending in a candle socket, wall mounted on a leaf form plaque, 19th century. 10" tall by 12" wide.

78     Pair of fire gilt bronze figurines of a man and woman in peasant costume (the woman holding a bunch of grapes) set on a double stepped gilded base in an old shellac finish. 19th century French.

79     Miniature watercolor on Ivory of two women flanking an alter with a cupid figure on the front and 2 doves perched on the top as well as 2 putti overhead (one with a bow). Early 19th century.

80     Hepplewhite maple and birds-eye maple fronted 4 drawer chest with mahogany banding around the drawers, raised on French feet with a shaped apron and original shell is stamped brass. 41" wide by 18.5" by 37" tall, New Hampshire circa 1805.

81     Shiraz Region Oriental Rug with a large central medallion of red inside of blue on a red background surrounded by three bands of geometric figures. One small hole, Persian, 110" by 82", 20th century.

82     Porcelain game set with a platter and 7 plates, Artist signed "Luc". 19th/20th century Limoges, France. Some chips.

83     Porcelain game set of twelve 9" plates with ducks on the front of each and named on the reverse Royal Dolton, England, Retailed by Higgins and Seiter.

84     Harrison Bird Brown (1831-1915, Portland Maine) oil on canvas landscape "Mill Brook, North Conway, N.H." of man fishing with a bridge and two people in the background. New stretcher, nice gold frame, 13" by 17" sight.

85     Mahogany Serpentine front card table with line inlay around the top edge and the shaped apron in the form of diamonds and stylized rectangles with a checkered band at the bottom. Set on four tapering line inlaid cuffed legs, late 18th century Pennsylvania, 36.25" wide by 30.25" tall

86     5 pieces of Staffordshire transfer decorated china: 7.5" green plate, Columbus pattern; 9.25" green plate, Wild Rose pattern; 9" shaped edge mulberry plate, Chinese Pastime, hairlines; cup and saucer, black Canova Pattern, Mayer, Stokes on Trent, hairline to saucer and a Black transfer decorated soft paste tea pot with chips to lid hairline to bottom of pot. 18th /19th century England.

87     Dark Blue Staffordshire dome covered footed vegetable in a figural oriental pattern. Leeds type gadrooned edge, large flower finial with minor chip, 12.5" long. 19th century England.

88     Pair of 18th/19th century blown decanters with Fern and Leaf etched decoration and rings around the neck (11.5" tall) with a single copper wheel etched, swag decorated slender decanter (10.5" tall).

89     Pair of cornucopia form garnitures with cut green glass vases ending in bronze rams heads resting on green marble. 19th century, English or American, 7.75" tall.

90     Chippendale carved Walnut corner chair with a molded crest, beaded scrolled arms, a pierced splat above a molded seat frame raised on 4 square legs and cutout shaped seat rails. Old restoration to one arm. Virginia, circa 1780.

91     Bibicabad oriental rug with a beige central medallion in a red field, surrounded by 5 borders with overall floral design. 101" wide by 143" long.

92     Stephen Edlich (1944- , American) mixed media on canvas marked "84, Transports Jean Chatel". Painted1978, 54" by 36". Marlborough gallery label on reverse. Train ticket affixed to modern art background in red, blue and black.

93     Rupert Jansen Smith (1953-*, New Jersey, associate of Andy Warhol) acrylic on paper of a luscious red drape over an abstract background. 43" by 30" sight.

94     Bruce Robbins (1948-*, American) Oil, oil slick, Graphite and varnish/paper on wood titled "Linkage" with original gallery label "Blum Helman Gallery, Inc.". Dated 1983, 28" by 90".

95     Mahogany Chippendale side chair with a carved crest and splat, similar to the Randolf/Affleck school with the exception of the owl eye shaped splat, a slip seat with carving applied to the skirt, carved brackets at the front and front sides and an H stretcher base connecting fluted square legs. Break and repair to splat at the meeting of the crest. 38" tall, 18th century American, probably Southern (possibly Virginia).

96     Pen work satinwood box with a red flower on the top surrounded by insects and classical designs over canted sides decorated with scenes and scrollwork at the ends with gilt brass handles set on 4 brass paw feet. Original red paper lining, circa 1810, England.

97     Jewelry Box with leather covered gold tooled decoration, brass mounts and handles and feet. Lift top reveals a divided mahogany interior with a print of York on the lid, circa 1810, England.

98     Mahogany Tea Box with Ebony inlaid edges, the interior with a glass and tea compartment, 19th century England.

99     2 rosewood tea boxes each having a compartmented interior,19th century, England. As found.

100     Mahogany tea box with satin wood banding all around with an inlaid pin wheel in the front, some line inlay missing,18th century England.

101     Brass footman with a molded scalloped top, a pierced skirt with leaf decoration and side handles over 2 forward facing cabriole legs and 2 rounded rear legs ending in Sheraton feet, 19th century England.

102     Pair of brass ball and spire top andirons with conical bases and arched spurred legs set on ball feet, Wittingham New York type. Circa 1800.

103     Brass fire fender, D shaped with pierced sides set on paw feet. 44" wide, 19th century England

104     William Preston Phelps (1847-1923, Chesham, N.H.,) Oil on canvas "New Hampshire Pasture" of cattle grazing in a field with Mount Monadnock in the background. Probably done at his farm in Chesham. Signed lower left. Provenance: Lot #1 in the sale of Phelps Estate, purchased by John I Coggeshall and then from his family to Charles Godwin to present owner, 12" by 18" sight, Newcomb Macklin Frame.

105     Robert Glen (1940-*, American, Premier work "Mustangs of Las Colinas" near Dallas Texas) Bronze casting of a Cape Buffalo, 1974,10/10. 12" high by 18" long.

106     Copper Spread eagle weathervane set on a ball on an arrow. Off of a house in Marshfield, Mass., 36" long by 36" at the wing spread by 30" tall. 20th century. Together with directionals and a cupola.

107     Mahogany Tennis press, 11.5" by 14" long, 19th/20th century English.

109     Unsigned Primitive hunting scene of a man with gout in a wheel chair being pushed by a servant. Probably Southern or English, 19th century. Relined with repaired split and some cracklature. 20" by 23.5" sight.

109A     Mahogany Veneer Hepplewhite style mirror with an urn and spray mount above a swan neck pediment over a frieze with vertical inlaid squares.  Eglomise glass panel and mirror framed with mahogany and gold molding, cut out ears and lower scroll board and floral and vine garlands at the sides. Late 19th century American, 58" by 24" wide.

110     Pair of silver plated Sheffield candelabra. Silver on copper, 3 candle sockets, 2 arms, engraved coat of arms on the base and decorated with gadrooning, fluting and egg in dart designs. 19th century England, 21.5" tall.

111     Caldwell silver plated tea service in the Rococo pattern, six pieces including: Coffee pot, 2 tea pots, covered sugar, a creamer together and a matching handled tray. 20th century.

112     German silver French form mirrored pedestal with handles, a floral center piece and a pair of double arm candelabra, 19th/20th century, Continental.

113     4 Silver plate serving pieces: an oval covered tureen, a handled basket, clam form folding server and a classical form hot water urn with a wooden handle and paw feet, all 19th/20th century England and American.

113A     John Ford Clymer(1907-1989, Illustrator, Painter, Clymer Museum of Art in Washington State) oil on canvas "Down on the Farm" of a Western barn yard scene with a child watching piglets with horses among cherry trees. Signed lower left "J. Clymer". 32" by 24.75" sight in a William Score frame. Provenance: Purchased by the consignor from Clymer. A copy of 1981 letter from Clymer to the consignor (years after the purchase) is attached to the painting .

113B     Frank W. Benson (1862-1951) etching "Winter Wildfowling" 1927, 150 Proofs. Pencil signed lower left "Frank W. Benson". Whatman Paper.

113C     Arthur Burdett Frost, Sr.. (1851-1928, California, Sporting Art) Pen and ink drawing of a hunter following bird dogs through a fenced bar way, 15.5" by 10,5" sight. Signed lower left "A. B. Frost" and a print fo an article titled "Rabbit Shooting" including this drawing.

Scott Zuckerman, born in 1951 and educated at Pratt Institute of Art resides in rural Connecticut where he selects his subject matter from nature. He has painted covers for Downeast Magazine, LL Bean since 1979, and Maine Sportsman. He has exhibited in many major museums such as the Denver Museum of Natural History, Salmagundi Club New York of which he is a member, The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, Grand Central Gallery and the Central Park Zoo in New York, The Carnegie in Pittsburgh, The Cleveland museum, The National Geographic Society Explorers Hall, Washington etc… Respected by his peers and collectors alike he has emerged as one of America's pre-eminent young wildlife and sporting artists.
