297     Schulz, Charles Monroe (20th century California) pen on paper laid down on masonite cartoon "Peanuts" (4 frames of Snoopy) signed on the right center. 10 1/4" by 29 1/8" long.

298     E Muncay, Emilio (20th century, Continental) oil on canvas architectural study of a building and an ornate doorway signed lower right. 16 3/4" by 23" sight, repair to upper center, in a gold frame.

299     Mahal/Sarouk oriental room size rug with a central medallion surrounded by a red field with an overall design surrounded by a blue border with an overall design. 9' by 12', high pile, 20th century.

300     Renaissance revival lyre shaped carved armchair with a carved crest flanked by styles and carved cherubs at the top, arms ending in carved faces connected by a curved seat rail set on curved legs with a carved animal form head at the juncture set on 4 carved animal paw feet. 19th century. 36" over all height.

301     Franz Moormans (1831-1893, Rotterdam, Holland) oil on panel interior scene of a gentleman examining wine. 8 1/2" by 6 7/8" sight in a newer gold frame. Provenance: Schwartz Gallery, Philadelphia, catalogue included.

302     Oil on board portrait of a gentleman wearing a top hat, unsigned, in a gold frame, 5 3/4" by 8 3/4" sight.

303     Hallmarked silver taper stick (possibly Café) with petals at the 4 corners of the bobeche set in the banded candle socket above a central petal form turning and a baluster form shaft all resting on shaped base with petals at the 4 corners. Probably 18th century English, 4 7/8" tall.

304     Oil on canvas evening harbor scene of people cooking over an open fire, eating, fishing and playing etc…, Classical feeling with monuments on shore, ships in the background. Minor flaking, crackalure, minor repairs, not the original gold painted frame. 33 1/2" by 23" sight, 18/19th century Continental.

305     Mahogany Campaign chest (2 part). 2 drawers over 3 drawers, brass corners and inset pulls, 19th century, England, 42 1/2" tall by 36" wide by 19 3/4" deep.

306     Carousel Horse in a prancing position: hand carved, painted white with back saddle and bridle, red and blue trappings, gold trim, old repaint, minor repairs, 54" long.

309     Sampler: hand stitched on linen backing, red and green alphabet above flowers, birds, trees, lions, symbols, and a saying, "Margaret Sharp, aged 9 years, 1837", probably English.

310     Art pottery vase, baluster form, terra cotta colored metallic glaze decorated with long stemmed flowers and green leaves, 11 1/2" tall, marked "L C Tiffany" on the bottom.

311     Sterling silver flatware service of 66 pieces: 5 dinner forks, 5 dinner knives, 5 desert knives, 5 desert forks, 5 butter knives, 5 desert spoons, 5 demitasse spoons, and 5 soup spoons; 11 luncheon knives and forks, 10 teaspoons, 4 dinner spoons and appetizer forks. Marked "Tiffany and Co. 1902" with a shield top and an elongated bead on the edge.

312     Sterling silver flatware service of 50 pieces: 12 soup spoons, 12 pudding spoons, and 12 coffee spoons; 11 butter knives and desert forks, 27 dinner forks, 8 dinner knives, and 7 salad forks, Hallmarked with left facing lion, Towle, Orchids pattern, each type of piece has a different design.

313     Sterling silver tea and coffee service and handled tray: Coffee, tea, hot water urn and burner, covered sugar, creamer and waste bowl. All pieces have floral banding, cross in a crown mark (Manchester), initialed.

314     J A Codman (John Amory, 1824-1886, Massachusetts, White Mountain School Artist, Shown in Museum of Fine Arts Boston). Oil on canvas of Squam Lake with the White mountains in the distance, between Center Harbor and Sandwich, New Hampshire (see old label on the reverse). Signed lower right and dated 1848, relined, 32" by 40" sight, probably the original frame. Listed in "New Hampshire Scenery" by Catherine H. Campbell, 1985.

315     Mahogany Hepplewhite sideboard: center section having a drawer over a high shaped skirt flanked by side sections, the left side with a drawer over a deep drawer. At the left end is a simulated long drawer over 2 small drawers, one simulated. At the right end the long drawer and doors are simulated. All set on 4 tapered legs with ovals at the top and ending in spade feet. 59 3/4" wide 29" deep and 35 3/4" tall, Circa 1790 England.

316     Frank Henry Shapleigh (1892-1906, Jackson, New Hampshire) oil on canvas barn scene looking out to a red cape, inside a horse eating hay, chickens, a farmer, a ladder to the loft, and lights over the door. Signed on the back "Old Barn at Brownfield, Maine by F H Shapleigh" gold frame, 15 3/4" by 9 3/4" sight.

317     Sterling silver flatware service with 119 pieces: 12 Salad forks, 12 coffee spoons, and 12 dinner forks; 10 luncheon knives, 10 sorbet spoons and 10 ice cream forks; 8 dinner knives, 7 demitasse spoons, 6 desert spoons and antipasto forks; 5 butter knives and luncheon forks; 3 small bread knives and iced tea spoons. Marked with a Fleur-de-lis and left facing eagle and .925 over 1000, a simple design similar to Tiffany's Faneuil pattern.

318     Camphorwood chest: old finish, brass corners, handles and straps, set on low bracket feet, large size, 48" wide, 23 1/2" deep by 23" high, 19th century Chinese.

319     Rose medallion punchbowl: 16" diameter, floral and bird panels alternating with peopled scenes, minor firing cracks to rim, 19th century, Chinese.

320     Antique Bronze Buddha seated in the lotus position, 10 1/2" tall.

321     Connaway, Jay Hall (N A, 1893-1970, Monhegan Island, Maine) oil on board landscape sketch, a field with mountains in the background and a blue sky with clouds. Signed lower right, 15" by 11 1/4" sight, gold frame, small hole center left.

323     W P Phelps (William Preston, 1848-1923, Chesham New Hampshire) oil on canvas view Of Mount Monadnock as viewed from Nelson, noted on the back, signed lower left, newer gold frame, 17 1/2" by 11 1/2" sight.

324     W. Weber, Wesley Elbridge (1839-1914, Wollaston, Mass.) oil on canvas landscape "Conway Meadow" (as noted on the back), of a river with trees on the bank and mountains in the background. Signed lower center, dated 1870, probably the original gold frame, 11 3/4 by 5 1/2" sight.

325     Mahogany bachelors chest/desk: a thumb nail molded top above a case with 4 graduated drawers, the top drawer opening to reveal a tooled leather writing surface which slides back revealing a divided interior and a covered box, the second drawer is flanked by pull out writing slides, all set on a shaped bracket base. 34" case width, 21" case depth, 30 1/2" tall, antique Chippendale brass with open centers, 18th century, English.

326     J. Moigniez, Jules (1835-1894, French) bronze casting of a Pheasant cock looking at a lizard, set on a rocky base. 20.5" long, 19th century, polished surface.

327     Iron casting of a seated Whippet, 16" tall, 20th century.

328     I Konti, Isadore (N A,1862-1938,Yonkers, N Y.) pair of cast bronze book ends of classical men, signed on the base, 6 1/2" tall.

329     Bronze casting of a classical figure: probably goddess Athena daughter of Zeus, set on a marble base over a wooden base, overall height 15".

330     2 cast bronze classical figures of wrestlers in a semi crouched position standing on a molded base, probably 19th century, 8" tall.

335     6 mahogany veneer Biedermeier side chairs with oval carved backs and caned seats set on 4 legs (the front saber). Early 19th century, Continental, 18" seat height, 32 1/2" overall height.

336     Lilla Cabot Perry (1848-1933, Boston & Hancock, N.H.) pastel portrait of a young woman with a pink and white dress (appears to be one of the Grews, a member of her family) signed lower left. 17 ¼" by 21 ¼" sight, gold leaf frame.

340     Empire Rosewood organ: upright cabinet, a cornice molding over a case with a louvered panel above an ivory key board, over a set back panel flanked by a square tapered columns set on tapered front feet and turned back feet, Labeled "Hutter & Kitteredge" above the key board, made in Mount Vernon, New Hampshire, Mid 19th century, 74 1/2" tall by 46 1/2" wide by 25 3/4" deep.

349     Walnut Chippendale Chest of 4 drawers with molded edges, a deeply under cut champhered molded edge top, an applied bracket base, 35" case width by 17 3/4" deep by 36" tall, replaced brass, Southern, probably late 18th century.

350     A single polychrome soft paste figural candle stick, a draped angel holding a torch with a candle socket on his head set on a square base, 18th/19th century England.

357     Porcelain game set: a 16" platter, an oval covered sauce tureen and ten 9 1/4" plates all with white backgrounds and scenes including various game birds with gold accented shaped rim and Royal Blue leaf forms, marked on the backs "Royal Worcester England".

358     Ornately carved Cassone: the front having 4 arched panels with central putti, sides are paneled with large wrought iron handles, 69 12" long by 30" deep by 26 1/2" tall.

363     Ship model of a 4 masted schooner "Thermopylae". Wooden with a glass case, exact rigging, case dimensions 39 1/2" wide 28 1/2" tall, 13" deep, circa 1900.

364     Set of 8 oak chairs in the 17th century style: six side and 2 arm chairs, brown leather upholstered backs and seats, some damage to seats, square backs, nails studding the leather over styles carved with circles, set on a nail studded leather seat above a correspondingly carved stretcher base connecting 2 front carved block and ring legs and 2 square rear legs, the armchairs have leather covered, nail studded arms supported by carved front posts, arm chairs are 24 3/4" wide, side chairs are 19 1/2" wide, probably 18th/19th century Italian.

367     Mahogany Empire pier mirror with a shaped crest set on carved gold molding, over a panel decorated with a gold carving of a seated woman flanked by cornucopias above a mirror all flanked by half columns with carved gold embellishments at the top and bottom resting on a pediment vase, 32" wide by 77" tall.

368     Presentation Banjo Clock: centennial copy of one done by Lemuel Curtis, a wood and gessoed eagle finial set on the mahogany case, a painted round Iron dial with a round glass door surrounded by brass over a gilt wood enclosed throat glass decorated with an eagle and script "L. Curtis Concord", above a round classically decorated glass titled "Commerce" set in a round gilt wooden door all resting on a carved wooden foliate embellishment, 42" tall.

369     Carl Ringius (1879 - 1950, Hartford, Conn.) oil on canvas of Boston Common titled "A Rainy Day in Boston" on the back, 9 1/2" by 11 1/2" sight.

370     Queen Anne Mirror: a cross banded veneered frame with a gold painted molding surrounding the glass, a carved cross banded veneered crest set on a carved and cross banded veneered lower crest, applied carved ears, 71" tall, 18th century, continental.

371     Heriz/Goravan Oriental rug with a center medallion and an overall design, brick and cream colors, 9' by 12', 20th century.

372     Rosewood Canapé: a double cameo back, an ornately carved crest with flowers and musical instruments flanked by curved arms ending in rolled feather carved hand holds supported by carved arm supports over a carved skirt set on six cabriole legs ending in scrolled feet, probably French Victorian, 49" long by 36" high.

377     Aloysius O'Kelly (1853-1941, Ireland) oil on canvas of an Irish or Breton fishing village with a woman and children in the foreground, 19 1/4 by 26 1/2", old Irish frame, partial label on back. Attribution.

381     Dean Fausett, William (1913-, Dorset, Vermont) oil on board landscape appears to be The White Mountains, New Hampshire, Mt. Chocorua, signed lower right, 39 1/2" by 23 1/2" sight, appears to be the original frame.

382     Oil on canvas primitive farm scene with chickens, sheep and a horse, gold frame, 7 1/4 by 9 3/4" sight, 19th/20th century.

383     Oil on Board still life of a glass bowl of grapes, 11 1/2" by 9 3/4" sight, gold frame.

384     Raf Sorbi (Raffaello 1844-1931, Italian) important oil on canvas of a troop of soldiers stopped in a village resting, drinking and conversing with the villagers. Signed lower right, 33 1/2" by 25" sight, apparently original gilded frame, tear and paint loss to upper left side of canvas, stabilized. Provenance: Maryland Family.

385     Queen Anne Burl walnut 2 part secretary desk: the upper section with cornice molded top above two rectangular doors fitted with mirror glass concealing a fitted removable interior cabinet above candle slides. A slant lid base, a stepped and fitted interior with a well, above 2 short and 2 long drawers, raised on broad shaped bracket feet, England circa 1730, 38" wide, by 82" tall by 23 " deep.

386     A Millrose (19th century, British) oil on canvas landscape of sheep pasturing with a red house in the background, gold frame, signed lower left, 17 3/4" by 11 1/2" sight.

387     Shotgun: 12 gauge, double barrel black powder, each Damascus barrel is engraved with hunting scenes, "London" inlaid between the barrels then etched "Fine Twist". The locks have been etched with pheasants and trees and the name "Edwin Hunt, New York". The stock is partially tigered maple, 49" to the butt, 14 1/4" trigger pull, 32 1/2" long barrels.

388     Rifle: black powder percussion cap, barrel stamped "Cast Steel", top and bottom of the barrel is nicely engraved with curlicues and stylized ferns, impressed with the names "A. Leonard & Son, Saxons River, Vermont. Cast Steel" and "W.B. Farrington, Lebanon, N.H.", box lock is marked "Remington". Fine Walnut, engraved brass fittings, rifle measures 46.5" overall with a 12" trigger pull.

389     Hanging male and female Blue Bill ducks: polychrome full body carved, hung by rawhide on iron nails to barn board, 20th century, purchased by consignor from carver Ken Gleason.

390     Milton Weiler (20th century, American) water color on paper of a man standing in water fly fishing, signed lower right, 10 3/4" by 8 1/4" sight.

391     Steuben glass fish with a gilt fly in his mouth, 8 1/4" tall, bubbles within the body, original red leather gift box, 20th century.

392     A Lassel Ripley (Aiden, 1896-1969, Lexington, Mass) print "Driven Turkeys" pencil signed lower right, published 1966, 16 1/2 by 26".

395     Daum Nancy: a square paneled/fluted glass footed vase decorated with bands of color, from the base green, red, tan and orange, signed on the side, 4 1/4" tall.

396     Galle: an oval vase with a pink background surrounded by green water lily leaves and flower, a polished top, signed in script on the side, 4" tall.

397     L.C.T., Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) iridescent gold glass tumbler, initialed on the bottom, 3 3/8" tall.

398     L.C.T. #7001, iridescent gold footed compote with green squiggles on the outside of a bowl, 3 1/4" tall, together with an iridescent gold under plate L.C.T. # 7001, 5 1/2" diameter, both initialed and numbered on the bottom.

399     L.C.T., iridescent gold finger bowl with a fluted rim, 4 5/8" diameter, together with L.C.T. Favrille #1263 iridescent blue under plate with a fluted edge, 7 " diameter.

400     L.C.T. iridescent gold footed salt, 2 1/4" diameter, together with another similar one, 2 1/8" diameter.

401     L.C.T. iridescent gold stemmed cordial glass with band at the top similar to the vintage grape pattern (4 1/2" tall) together with an iridescent gold tooth pick holder with indented sides and a flared rim (1 3/4" tall).

401A   A Mottled blue and green vase with enameled and painted decoration marked on the side "Adelatte, Nancy", 3 3/4" tall.

402     Walnut blanket chest: plain top has brass strap hinges over a case with 3 carved front panels (2 of swans eating fruit flanking monkeys sitting around a floral plant), brass handles at either end set on applied bracket base, Kentucky, appears to be Arts and Craft period.

403     Angelic Organ: Mahogany cased set of 16 musical glasses, each a different size, marked with a letter designating the note. Case measures 24 1/2" by 22" by 8" high, set on 4 cabriole legs ending in pad feet (later than the case), 19th century English.

404     Angelic Organ: Regency mahogany cased set of 15 musical glasses with a painted band of color around the top of each designating pitch, an inlaid canted case set on ball feet, 38" by 13 3/4" by 11 1/2" high, early 19th century English.

405     Orchestrion "Brunophone": plays 10 songs, mechanical piano, coin operated, pneumatically operated, cylinder similar to a music box, see attached literature, a mahogany inlaid case with brass mounts and a landscape painted fabric over the sound area, 54" wide by 77" tall, 19th century French.

406     Chinese Export charger with a blue and white background, a turquoise rim and a design of roosters and flowers, 14 3/4" diameter.

407     Polychrome carved soapstone incense burner in the form of a Foo dog with a detachable head, 8" long, green and red dye with natural color background, some chipping to the head and damage around the neck rim.

408     Chinese carved soapstone laughing Buddha (6 1/2" tall) together with two other Asian metal Buddha's (one 5 3/4" tall and the other 2 1/2" tall).

409     Cast bronze horse and rider of a mounted Khandoba (a form of Shiva an Indian god) cast separately, 6" tall.

410     Important pair of gilded girandole mirrors: each having an Eagle with spread wings with a chain held in his beak ending in a wooden ball set on a plinth above crossed foliate boughs and a garland of acorns and oak leaves supported by a heavily gilded and ebonized molded circular frame surrounding a convex mirror, over a stepped foliate base. American or English, 18th/19th century. Provenance: A Maryland Family.

577     2 Trombones: One marked "ANTUNE and MILLE, Paris" dated 1878 with minor dents and missing mouth piece. Slide has detailed brass engravings. The other is not as ornate but is complete with slide and mouthpiece.

579     Saxophone: 1923 Martin Alto Saxophone Elkhard Mode with floral engravings on the bell and mother of pearl inlay on the keys, complete with Wirlitzer case.
