Oil on canvas of hen and cock grouse with 8 chicks, 17" wide oval painting on a 13 1/2" by 17" rectangular canvas set in an oak frame. Signed lower left, “A.F. Tait ‘57”. Provenance: Ms. Mildred Steinbeck head librarian at the Frick Museum Reference Library purchased the painting from Phillip Vassar (Vassar College) in 1934.
