1          RARE Topping Model, “150,000 lb THRUST ENGINE" model for "Rocketdyne a Division of North American Aviation, Inc.". Marked on underside of base in raised letters "Topping Models Akron, Ohio", 6.5" inches high.               

2          Topping Model, "USAF SM-68B TITAN II" Intercontinental Ballistic Missile model for "Martin". Metallic sticker on underside of base reads "Topping Inc. First Nat'l Tower Akron, Ohio". 19.5" inches high.                     

3          RARE Hyatt Co. Model, "APOLLO SPACECRAFT" model for "North American Aviation, Inc." printed on stand in silver lettering. Metallic sticker on base reads "The Walter J. Hyatt Co. 7316 Varna Ave. North Hollywood, Calif. Designers - Manufacturers". 20.25" inches high.                      

4          RARE Apollo Spacecraft model, "APOLLO SPACECRAFT" model for "North American Rockwell" printed in silver on a black plastic plaque applied to models base. The model itself looks identical to the Hyatt Co. model but has no makers label on the underside of its base. 20.25" inches high.                       

5          Contractors Apollo Lunar Module Model, for Grumman, white plastic Lunar Module has black painted accents, metal and plastic antennas, metal lander legs and the round post Apollo11 landing base which reads "One small step for man…One giant leap for mankind, 10:56 EDT, July 20, 1969, LUNAR MODULE" and bears the "Grumman" and "NASA" Logos. Model is missing its longest antenna, 2 of its 16 "quad" attitude engines and the white plastic has yellowed. Base measures 10.25" inches in diameter and the Lunar Module model measures 6" inches high by 10" wide.                   

6          Model, Early version of the "MARTIN MARIETTA - ADTO, POWERED LOCASS" (Powered Low Cost Autonomous Attack System). Model measures 24.5" inches in length and sits horizontally on its stand (acrylic stand ends broken at their base).                 

7          Color photo lithograph, of Richard (Dick) Gordon, Astronaut pilot for Gemini 2, Apollo 9 backup, and Apollo 12, in a business suit. Signed and inscribed "To Chuck - This is to "fill a space" - best wishes! 13        NASA color photo lithograph, of Neil Armstrong, Prime Crew Commander of the Apollo 11 Lunar Landing Mission, posing in his White Space Suit. Signed and inscribed "To Chuck - With Thanks for All Your Help over the Years, Neil Armstrong, Apollo 11". "NASA" logo on reverse with a brief note about Neil's service for NASA. A typed letter signed "Neil" by Neil Armstrong on "University of Cincinnati" letterhead dated May 1, 1972 reads "Dear Chuck: Sorry I don't have a good print. This one will have to do until I get a replacement (with pipe and elbow patches). All the best, Sincerely, Neil. Neil A. Armstrong Professor of Aerospace Engineering". Neil Armstrong's faded original signature has been retraced with a sharpie marker. Print measures 8" x 10" inches.

17        6 NASA color photo lithographs, of Apollo 13 leaving the launch pad, circling the moon, the earth from Apollo 13, the damaged service module, re-entry and the 3 crew members in front of their Navy rescue helicopter. All prints mounted together with a print which reads "Apollo 13, April 11 - 17, 1970" which has the penned or auto-penned signatures of James Lovell Jr., Fred W. Haise, Jr. and the printed signature of John L. Swigert, Jr. Inscribed on matt "To: Chuck Graham, Thanks for your help throughout the years". The faded penned or autopen signatures have been retraced with a black sharpie marker. Mat measures 16" x 20" inches. Not examined out of frame.

18        NASA color photo lithograph, of the Apollo 14 crew in their White Space Suits a large representation of the Apollo 14 Mission Emblem behind them. Signed and inscribed by "Alan Shepard, From Kitty Hawk and Antares to Chuck Graham". Also signed by "Stu A. Roosa" and "Ed Mitchell".  Reverse of print is printed with various NASA information and also reads "???-KSC-70PC-625  UNCL. 11-14-70, NASA/Apollo, Apollo 14 Prime Crew....", Print on Kodak Paper measures 8" x 10" inches.

19        Color photo lithograph, of Astronaut Joe Henry Engle. Signed and inscribed "Chuck, Thanks a million for everything, Joe Engle". 3 of Engles 16 test flights in the X-15 rocket airplane exceeded an altitude of 50 miles thus qualifying him for an Astronaut rating. One of the first Astronauts in the Space Shuttle program Joe also flight tested the Shuttle Enterprise in 1977. He was back-up lunar module pilot for the Apollo 14 mission and was due to land on the moon as lunar module pilot for Apollo 17, but was replaced by geologist Harrison Schmitt after Apollo 18 was cancelled. Engle also was the back-up commander for STS-1, the first orbital test flight of Space Shuttle Columbia. Engle and Richard Truly flew the second flight of the Space Shuttle, STS-2. He was also mission commander on STS-51-I and logged over 225 hours in space. Kodak Paper measures 8” by 10” inches."

26        Original Acrylic painting by Renato Moncini, (technical illustrator for NASA who worked extensively on the Apollo programs). Painting depicts the Apollo 7 Command Module under thrust power with the Lunar Landing Module still attached, both orbiting above the surface of the moon, painting is unsigned and measures 15.5" h. x 19.75” wide.  A photograph below the painting depicts the Apollo 7 crew during training at the North American Rockwell facility at Downey and shows the three Astronauts Walter Cunningham, Walter Schirra Jr, and Donn F. Eisele in their White Space Suits and is signed and inscribed “To Chuck Graham, Best Regards, Walter Schirra A VII”.   Photo measures 6.5” x 8.5” inches. Frame measures 28.5” x 31.5” inches overall. 28        NASA Apollo Program Presentation Plaque, presented to “Chuck Graham,” “In Appreciation for your contributions to the Apollo Lunar Exploration Program” with 11 Apollo distinctive insignia enamel badges mounted around the perimeter of the frame.  Frame measures 13” x 11” inches.

29        18 NASA / NASA Manned Space Craft Center access badges. Badges range from the Gemini to the Apollo missions with 2 Skylab and 2 Space Shuttle badges.  Access badges are for test launches, launches and return flights.

30        Apollo 14 smoke colored glass presentation tray, with the three Crew members names, Shepard, Roosa and Mitchell and embossed decoration in red, white, blue and gold.  Paper label on reverse tray reads “Houze Art 70 -2396”.  Tray measures 9” by 9” inches.

May we always shoot as straight as we say we do! Jack Lousma”. Lousma was the pilot for Skylab 3 and commander on STS-3, logging a total of over 1,619 hours in space. Lousma also spent 11 hours on two spacewalks outside of the Skylab Space Station. Jack also served as backup Docking Module Pilot for the United States flight crew for the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. Wingspan measures 14.5 inches. The F-100 was the 1st jet aircraft prototype to break the sound barrier in level flight.

63        N.A.A. Factory Desk Model, models base reads “U.S. Air Force F-100 “Super Sabre” North American Aviation, Inc.”  This very rare example includes a transparent canopy and a highly detailed cockpit complete with pilot and co-pilot.  “Pitot” boom is missing and the vertical stabilizer has been broken and reglued. Wingspan measures 11.5” inches.

64        N.A.A. Factory Desk Model, (not a wooden model like the others but made of cast resin) models base reads “North American Aviation Inc. F-107A Fighter Bomber.” Model has some trailing edge wing and air intake damage and the plastic bomb on the underside of the fuselage has been broken into many pieces, some of which may be missing.  Wingspan measures 11” inches.

65        N.A.A. Factory Desk Model, models base reads “U.S. Air Force B-45 “Tornado”, North American Aviation, Inc.” Both wingtip fuel tanks have broken off and been re glued.  All but one fin on the wingtip fuel tanks are missing as well as a small piece below the tail gunners position.  Wingspan measures 13” inches.

66        N.A.A. Factory Desk Model, models base reads “U.S. Navy AJ “Savage”, North American Aviation, Inc.”  Broken at point just below the horizontal stabilizers, re-glued and paint retouched.  One wingtip fuel tank fin is missing.  Wingspan measures 11.25” inches.

171      Newsweek magazine, issue dated January 9, 1961 which contains an article on page 39 announcing the appointment of Col. James B. Swindal as pilot of John F. Kennedy’s' Air Force One. 

172      Boeing Factory Model, of the first all Jet Powered VC-137C Air Force One, circa 1961 - 1962. One of only two known to have been made by the BOEING FACTORY MODEL SHOP this Presentation Model was given to Air Force One pilot Lt. Col James Barney Swindal at an unveiling ceremony presided over by President Elect John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jaqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Jacqueline Kennedy created the color scheme for the first Boeing jet Air Force One.  The Boeing 707s served as the Presidential Air Force One aircraft until they were replaced in 1990 by 747-200s, designated as the VC-25.

173      Zippo, lighter is embossed in black with the presidential seal and “12-25-62, JFK - JBK” in original box with instructions.  This lighter has a brushed stainless steel finish and is virtually like new with just a little discoloration on its interior from slight use.  This was given as a Christmas gift from John F. Kennedy to Col. Swindal.

174      Zippo, lighter is embossed in blue with the presidential seal and Lyndon B. Johnson's signature and on its reverse depicts Air Force One with the title “Air Force One (707).”  Unused, as new in original box.

175      Vulcan, Air Force One Unit lighter. The front of lighter has an applied enameled distinctive insignia of the Air Force One Unit and reads “EXPERTO CREDE” the reverse of the lighter reads “125th A.T.G. (M) (SM) MATS, Washington, D.C.”  The top left of the lighters flip cover has lost a tiny bit of its chrome plating but is otherwise in very good condition.

176      U.S.A.F. Pilots suit case, cloth patch on front reads “Col. James B. Swindal.” Contents include about one dozen aeronautical maps from the 1940's-50's, as well as simple plotting instruments, a vintage throat mic, “Globe Airline Computer” in leather case with its manual, and more.

177      Air Force One, deck of playing cards with the Presidential Seal in gold on a black background above the silhouette of a “U.S.A.F” jet.  Sold along with three other decks of cards that belonged to JFK.

178      Air Force One, cocktail glass with the remnants of the Presidential seal in gold.  John F. Kennedy drank from this glass on his fateful trip to Dallas, Texas.  Glass was collected by Col. James B. Swindal after Kennedy was assassinated.

203      1909 Presentation desk piece/inkwell, silver plated brass and inscribed on its frontal shield “IGO ETRICH 'TAUBE' WIENER-NEUSTADT, 1909” and is touch marked on its reverse “MD (symbol?) g” and separately “Bazar Europa Cadiz”.  Igo Etrich (1879-1967) was an Austrian engineer who designed and flew his first tractor monoplane on July 20th 1909 and the first Taube prototype in July 1910.   The Taube was called “The Invisible Aircraft” by the French because of the translucence of the clear doped linen covering the Taube which made it nearly invisible at elevations above 1200 feet.  It was the worlds First Stealth Airplane.  Ink well measures 13” wide and the wingspan of the “Taube” measures 9” inches wide.

204      Model of an RVX!-5 Nose Cone, this desk model was given as a gift to William A. Hosie who did public relations work for “AVCO” under the firm of “hill & Knowlton” of New York City.  The models base reads “ICBM Test Vehicle RVX1-5, This is a scale model of a RVX1-5 Nose Cone That Was Fired By A U.S. Air Force Thor-Able Missile Over the 5000 Mile Atlantic Missile Range and Recovered on April 8, 1959.  AVCO, Research and Advanced Development.”  Model of Nose Cone measures 6.5” inches long.

205      Photograph of Amelia Earhart, with newspaper story.  Image is on 8” x 10” black and white Kodak paper of Amelia Earhart standing beside Orville Wright at the Franklin Institute of Philadelphia's Opening of the “Hall of Aviation” on December 17, 1933 to whom Orville willed most of the Wright Brothers Artifacts after the Smithsonian Institute insisted on crediting the Wrights Rival Samuel Pierpont Langley with building the first flying machine capable of carrying one person aloft.
