2          Three Toby Mugs: A - 5 5/8" tall, dressed with coat decorated in Chinese taste. B - 4 1/4" tall, blue coat with gold luster border, marked " Allertons , England ," on bottom. C - 6" tall, mottled brown glaze, raised bottom. Provenance: Peterborough , NH and NJ, Americana collection. Estimate $200-300

2A        Sunterland Pink Luster Commemorative Pitcher, decorated under spout, " A west view of the iron bridge at Sunterland built by R. Burdon, Esq. MP, span 236 feet, height 100 feet began 1793 opened 1796," 9 1/2" tall, appears to be in very good condition. Provenance: A Francestown, NH family estate. Estimate $800-1,200

3          English Mahogany Barometer, signed on the silvered dial, "Chiesa Keiser & Co, Liverpool," broken arch top over an inset thermometer, over a wheel dial, both with silver faces, line inlaid mahogany case, 38" tall, glass tube intact but no mercury inside. Provenance: Peterborough , NH and NJ, Americana collection. Estimate $300-500

3A        John F. Enser, 20th century, New Ipswich, NH, oil on artist board painting, "The Old Sugar House, Underhill, Vermont , with Mt. Mansfield in the distance," signed lower right, "John F. Enser," and titled and signed on reverse, 12" x 16", probably the original frame. Provenance: A New Ipswich, NH collection. Estimate $1,500-2,500

4          Pair of Needlework Oval Portraits of a nobleman and his wife, set in octagonal frames, 11" x 9 1/2" including the frame, silk thread stitched into silk fabric, some losses & discoloration. Appears to be 17/18th c. English or French. Provenance: Peterborough , NH and NJ, Americana collection. Estimate $300-500

5          English Stumpwork Picture, raised needlework on silk depicting the king & queen in front of their castle surrounded by trees, animals, flowers and a fountain; Framed under glass, 15" x 18 3/4" including the frame, minor splits in silk, stains, appears to be 17th c. England. Provenance: Peterborough , NH and NJ, Americana collection. Estimate $1,500-2,500

6          Continental Marquetry Inlaid Server, top section with 2 shelves supported by scrolled sides and mirrored back, bottom section with 2 drawers over 2 oval paneled doors, all set on 4 ball feet, all over fruitwood inlays of baskets of flowers with vines, 67 1/2"tall x 47 1/2" wide x 21" deep, mid 19th c. Provenance: Descended in a Keene, NH family. Estimate $800-1,200

7          Dutch Blue & White Delft Punch Bowl, blue floral & bird  decoration around the outside and at the bottom of the interior, 13 1/2" diameter x 7 1/4" tall, edge chipping & 1 repair leading to a hairline crack, appears to be 18th c. Provenance: A Peterborough, NH and NJ, Americana collection. Estimate $1,000-1,500

8          Gilded Mirror, ornately carved wood, gessoed & gilded frame with phoenix bird crest, partially re-gilded, old mirror glass, 44" tall, 25 1/2" wide, 18th c., probably English. Provenance: A  southern New Hampshire collection. Estimate $3,000-6,000

9          Dutch Delft Covered Jar/Lamp, raised decoration surround panels depicting sailing boats, blue & white with brown/yellow high lights, jar 16 1/2" tall, lamp base to finial 32 1/2" tall. Appears to be 18/19th c., drilled through the lid and base to make a lamp. Provenance: Peterborough , NH and NJ, Americana collection. Estimate $300-500

10        English Mahogany Breakfront, dental molded crown molding over a 3 part glazed door bookcase upper section with adjustable shelves, sitting on a 3 part lower section with paneled cupboard doors enclosing set of drawers, 90" tall x 92" wide, lower section also has pull out slides in each section, the center one flanked by candle slides, 18/19th c. 11        Pair of Bristol Glass Covered Mugs, each decorated on the front with oval scenes depicting a  man & a woman courting, each lid also decorated, the body of 1 has an old repaired crack, appears to be 18/19th c., English, 9 1/2" tall including the lid. 12        English Chippendale Tambour Commode, scalloped tray top with  side handles over a tambour compartment (as is), over a pull out seat which appears as 2 drawers, 31" tall x 20 1/2" wide x 18 1/2" deep, 18/19th c, mahogany, potty seat has been removed.  Provenance: Peterborough , NH and NJ, Americana collection. 14        Marble Mantle Clock Set, black marble case with speckled brown marble highlights and carved floral incising, circular French works with an open escapement, accompanied by 2 matching marble urns, case 25 1/2" wide x 14 1/4" tall, some edge chipping, 2nd half of the 19th c.  Provenance: An Amherst , NH collection. 15        1819 American Sampler by Mary Hall, silk on linen stitching, floral border surrounding the alphabet and numbers at the top over the family record of births & deaths with a picture of their home, trees with birds & animals shown below, 25" H x 21" w sight, framed under glass, probably done in Massachusetts.  Provenance: Peterborough , NH and NJ, Americana collection. 16        1798 American Sampler by Elizabeth Cochran, unusual horizontal needlework on linen consisting of 3 squares, alphabet & date 1798, central one ABC's over a vine over 2 houses with trees and the right one ABC's, her name & date of birth 1779, probably New Hampshire in origin. 17        Needlework Basket of Flowers Still Life, silk needlework on silk cloth depicting a handled basket with a multi colored floral bouquet and a bird on the top branch, American 19th c, 16 1/2" x 14 1/4" wide sight, framed in an old gold frame under glass. 21        Chippendale Mirror, scalloped and pierced crest with applied gilded phoenix bird, scrolled ears and base, 39 1/2" tall x 21 1/2" wide, mahogany veneer on pine, American English, 18th c, old refinished condition. 22        Pair of Primitive Portraits, oil on canvas of a gentleman and his wife, no apparent signature, relined, on the original stretchers, unknown subjects, appear to be American, 24" x 19", mahogany molded frames maybe original or at least of the period, appear to be 18th c., mid-Atlantic area. 23        Mahogany Floral Inlaid Candle Stand, serpentine shaped top inlaid in the center and corners with a flower and line inlaid edge over a reeded urn shaped shaft set on 3 cabriole legs ending in pad feet, probably Nantucket, MA, origin circa 1800, good old finish, 21" wide top x 30 1/2" tall. 24        Double Lemon Top Andirons and Tools, cast brass andiron with lemon tops over a baluster shaped shaft supported by ball and spur feet along with a matching pair of fire tools (tongs & shovel), andirons 22"T x 14"D, tools 29 1/2" T, American c. 1800. 25        Cast iron Arcade Toy "Dump Wagon", 3 part toy - front section consists of 2 mules harnessed to a yellow 2 wheel cart, the red wagon section has a seat and open body with hinged floor raised lettering on each side in yellow "Dump Wagon." The driver is an African American dressed in a red coat and hat, some paint losses, 19th c. American, 14 1/4" long. Provenance: A Massachusetts collection. Estimate $250-500

26        Cast Iron Toy Farm Wagon, 3-part toy, the front section has 2 oxen pulling a yellow 2 wheel cart, the back section is a red staved farm/hay wagon with yellow wheels, the driver is an African American standing in the wagon with a yellow hat, some minor paint losses, 15" long, 19th c. American. Provenance: A Massachusetts collection. Estimate $500-750

26A      Babe Ruth Signed Baseball, 1928 New York Yankees multi-signed team baseball, 21 signatures including Hall of Fame inductees Leo Durocher and Herb Pennoch, 3 signatures of Miller Huggins, Lou Gehrig and Tony Lazzieri are club house versions. PSA/NA grading authenticity overall grade 4, certificate included, containing a picture of the ball. Provenance: A mid-western collection. Estimate $1,000-2,000

27        Folk Art Fish Bill Sword, one side primitively painted and scratch decorated with an American sailing ship, fishing sloop, sword fish, eagle, flag & stars, American 19th c, 43" long.  Provenance: Peterborough , NH and NJ, Americana collection. Estimate $1,200-1,800

27A      Dunlap New Hampshire Candle Stand, 19th century paint decoration over the original red paint, octagonal top over an urn shaped shaft with hexagonal blocks at the top and base, 3 cabriole legs with double pegged tennons, top 13 1/4" wide x 26 1/2" tall, see #95, "The Dunlap's and Their Furniture," for a stand with the same base, Major Dunlap Cabinet Maker late 18th century, NH. 30        Pewter Communion Set by Robert Bush, consisting of 2-10 3/4" diameter deep dish plates, 2-7 3/4" tall chalices and 1-12 1/2" tall flagon, which is signed inside on the bottom," X  RBush," small dents, old unpolished surface, very minor denting, English early 18th c. 40        Alexander Calder, 1898-1976, NY, CT,  bronze "Ellie" sculpture, made for "The American Society of Magazine Editors," by The Segre's Iron Works using Calder's stabile design, this has been conformed  by the Calder Foundation of New York, " 9" tall x 13" wide x 11 1/2" deep. 49        Mahogany Empire Double Decker Mantle Clock, "Birge, Malloney & Co, Bristol, CT," label on the interior, both glass panels have paint restoration, comes with a key, winder & pendulum, no weights, early 19th century, 37" tall x 20 1/4" wide at molding. 50        Joshua Reynolds, 1723-1792, England, attributed oil on canvas portrait of likeness of Sir Thomas Mills or likeness of Major John Andre', unsigned, original frame had a plaque reading, "Major Andre', Adj. Genl to HM forces in British North America, commanded by Lt. Gen! Sir Henry Clinton, GCB obit 2nd Oct. 1780- aetat 29." Note on old framed read," Bought at Christie's between 1853 -1860, and is supposed to be the missing picture by Reynolds," (all hand written on verso), relined, varnished, 30" x 25", newer frame. 59        Rufus Porter, 1792-1884, New England, attributed pair of miniature paintings in profile of unknown husband and wife, watercolor on paper, 5 1/8" x 4 1/8", framed under glass with painted ovals of gold leaf flowers inside black grounds, unsigned but attributed to his itinerate portrait painting period, for a similar example see pg. 65 fig. 38, "Rufus Porter Rediscovered by Jean Lipman. 60        Mahogany Hepplewhite Mirror, gilded urn crest with wheat, flowers over a broken arch crest and side leaf/flowers, crotched mahogany veneered and inlaid frame with scrolled lower arms and base, American c. 1800, 49" tall x 21" wide, the original mirror has been replaced but kept and is available to the purchaser.  Provenance: Peterborough , NH and NJ, Americana collection. 63        Ladies Chippendale Slant Front Desk, curly maple case just 29" wide, divided interior with shell carved prospect door flanked by pull out storage boxes and cubby holes over drawers, 4 lipped graduated drawers set on an applied bracket base with a central drop, replaced brasses, refinished and a 29" writing surface.  Provenance: A Massachusetts collection. 64        Thomas Bigelow Craig, ANA, 1849-1924, Pennsylvanian, oil on canvas of a pastoral scene with cows, "Early Autumn Pasture," titled and signed on verso, signed lower left, "Thos B. 64A       Connecticut Cherry Chippendale Linen Press, top section with 2 flat paneled doors flanked by a champhered fluted corners with lambs tongues over a 2 drawer base (split top drawer), set on a ball and claw front feet and ogee back feet base, lower Connecticut  River area, late 18th century, 45 1/2" lower case x 83 1/2" tall, old refinish, replaced brasses. Provenance: A southern New Hampshire collection. Estimate $3,000-5,000

65        Ivory Coast Guro Mask, oval hollowed form of wood, black paint, kaolin, pieces of hide, a raised vertical forehead ridge merging into a triangular nose with rounded bridge, flanked by lancet-shaped pierced eyes with raised rim, and a protruding oval mouth underneath, pieces of hide forming beard and coiffure, 4-parted grooved band with curved contours separating the coiffure from the forehead, the band ornament is repeated as scarification mark underneath the eyes, forming a loop at the temples and ending up below the ears, pierced around the rim, partly broken out, presumably a mask of,,,dye", which is an ensemble of human and animal faced forms, 10" x 6" wide. Provenance: New York collector. Estimate $8,000-12,000

66        Ivory Coast Baule Mask, oval form with pointed chin, wood, shiny brown patina, showing a high forehead with ornamental carved eyebrows, cycle shaped eyes with incised pupils underneath, flanking a small straight nose, a small mouth which is indicated by a small cavity below, scarification marks in the area of forehead, cheeks and mouth, minimal damage, fissures, signs of abrasion, 10" long x 6", 17" tall with wooden base, such masks were used for entertainment purposes.  Provenance: New York collector. 112      Fire-Arm - Consecutively Numbered Pair of Cogswell & Harrison Ltd 12 ga. Side lock Shotguns, in their original fitted leather case. Barrels of both #1 and #2 side by side shotguns measure 27.5" in length. Chokes on both are IMP. CYL. and CYL. Length of pull on each shotgun measures 14.75" to the center of their rubber butt pads. Both straight grip stocks are of nicely figured walnut and are both checkered at the wrist and fore grips. Barrels of both shotguns have been re-blued and show some wear to bluing at the chambers and the barrel tips. the engraved makers name and location can just be deciphered on the top rib as it has been polished after being re-blued, "Cogswell & Harrison..New Bond st, London ," can be discerned after careful visual examination.

            Checkering on both is worn somewhat smooth, no case coloring is evident but each gun is finely detailed with rose scroll engraving throughout.  Consecutive serial numbers are 467XX and 467XX. Rubber stacked butts on walnut stocks measure 1.5" deep. Provenance: A Dublin , NH and New York collection, purchased by the consignor's father . Estimate $15,000-20,000

Gabriel, Roland Dorcely, Cedor and Luckner Lazare, he co-founded "Galerie Brochette". He won a scholarship from "UNESCO" and moved to Brazil in 1958 where he worked with Portineau. Nehemy has also taught art at "L'atelier", owned and operated his own art Gallery on his return to Haiti. Nehemy has exhibited in the USA, Haiti and Europe. His paintings are very rare. 141         Stained Glass believed to be made by Donald MacDonald.  MacDonald was born in 1841 in Glasgow,  trained in London during the 1860’s and immigrated to the US to join the William McPherson & Co Studios in Boston which he later took over and changed into his name. During the 1870’s he was a leading exponent of the British Design Reform Movement. MacDonald's work was well known throughout New England. The McPherson/MacDonald studio had done most of the windows for Harvard's Memorial Chapel "The William Ellery Channing Memorial Window" in the Newton, MA, and the Presbyterian Church. The window in the National Arts Club (the former Samuel J. Tilden Mansion at 15 Gramercy Park South) may be seen in James L. Sturm's STAINED GLASS FROM MEDIEVAL TIMES TO THE PRESENT: Treasures to Be Seen in New York.  Glass has been crated and all 11 pieces are shown photographed individually and then combined together for a sense of what the window would like installed.  Please note: many of the painted detials in the glass cannot be seen in the photos.
