2   Pair of Georgian Style Coffee Pots, domed lid light house form with fitted wooden handles, English hallmarked, 20th century sterling, 10" tall, in very good condition, "2" and "X" date marks indicated, they were made at different times. Provenance: A Grantham, NH collection. Estimate $500-700

3   English Coin Silver Chalice & Four Table Spoons: A - Hallmarked London silver ca. 1830's, chased scroll decoration with a family crest and "With Deep Appreciation," on the other, 7" tall. 4   Sheffield Silver Candlestick, silver on copper, 7" tall, top section has seamed construction set on a swirled and stepped base wrapped over an Oakwood bottom. Appears to be 18/19th century English, missing the bobeche, no hallmarks. Provenance: A Peterborough , NH collection. Estimate $100-200

5   Sheffield Silver Tea Set & Tray, 3 piece tea set marked, "Elkington & Co.," with hallmarks 20th century England , round tray 12" diameter with chased Georgian style decoration set on 3 ball & talon feet, some silver losses due to polishing. 8   Icon From The St. Petersburg Workshops of Peter Karl Faberge', 1846-1920, of "The Mother of God of the Sign - Znamenie," hallmarked Raza, marked, "TR," Philip Theodor Ringe, 1824-1882, Faberge' work master along with the House of Faberge' mark, oil on panel, the silver mounts are studded with garnets, surrounded by delicate miniature icons of the Orthodox church and flanked on either side by 2 narrow panels showing St. Nicholas & St. Seraphim, all in a beautiful walnut carved frame, 23 1/4" tall x 16 1/4" wide. Provenance: NH collection and Bowater Gallery Ltd appraisal, London , august of 1970 includes various documentation & write-ups. Estimate $30,000-50,000

9   Greek Icon of Two Saints, Saint Panteleimon and a monk saint, on wood with egg tempera, silver clad with illegible hallmarks, in Cyrillic, date 1913, 11 3/4" x 8" sight. Provenance: A Grantham, NH collection. Estimate $600-1,000

11   Russian Silver Icon, "Kazanskaya - Mother of God," brass clad, hallmarked on raza and on bottom, Kokoshnic mark "84", (used between 1899-1908), hallmarked in Cyrillic, unknown maker mark, "CR", hand painted with egg tempera, overlaid with silver clad raza, 8 3/4" x 6 3/4 in hanging glass display. 12   Russian Icon Triptych, Jesus in the center, Mary on the Left & possibly John the Baptist on right, signed lower left, "C Eva Ywahh?", & lower right, "C Eva…? Enamel on brass, 3 3/8" x 5 1/4" long (open), 20th century. Provenance: A Grantham, NH collection. Estimate $400-600

14   Rosewood Continental Work Table, rotating swivel top with interior felt work surface over a case with a divided drawer over 4 fluted and turned medial stretcher base, 15 1/2" x 21" x 31" tall, late 19th century. Provenance: A Massachusetts collection. Estimate $200-300

15   Running Horse Weathervane, with a full body, cast zinc head & mold sheet tin tail, original gilded surface, 30" long x 18" tall, some denting on one side, 19th century, possibly the shop of "Al Jewel, Waltham, MA (1852-1867)," see "The Art of the Weathervane," (Exton, PA 1984), page 26 for a similar example. 16   Sailor's Valentine, folding 8 sided mahogany case with glass enclosed sea shell heart on one side and photo surrounded by sea shells on the other, each 9" wide, Barbados or neighboring islands, 19th c. trade, family history available to purchaser. 17   "Bennington" Hound Handle Pitcher, raised decoration of hounds chasing a deer and lion on a brown glaze, circular "Bennington" mark on bottom, 9" tall, chip on inside of spout and on bottom edge rim. Provenance: A Peterborough , NH estate. Estimate $200-300

19   Hepplewhite Tambour Secretary, 2 part mahogany case, the top section having 2 tambour doors which reveal 4 drawers over cubby holes, the bottom section with a fold over writing surface over 2 wide drawers all set on 4 tapered legs with spade feet, mid Atlantic area ca. 1800, 37" wide x 51 1/2" tall. 24   Russian Icon Pendant, circular wooden carving of a saint on each side, encased in a square gold frame encrusted with brightly colored enamel resembling gem stones, 2 1/2" square, framed with a chain in a double glassed case to revel both sides, 19th c. 25   Russian Icon of Christ Pantocrator, egg tempera on wood, gilt & silver clad with gold raza, appears to be essay mark, "M?A over 1857, 84 (No Suggestions) mark & Moscow city mark, makers mark in Cyrillic, "AF or JF," 7" x 6 3/4". Provenance: A Grantham, NH collection. Estimate $700-900.

26   Early Russian Ivory Icon, encased in a silver filigree with enamel box. Box opens to reveal 2 carved ivory icons depicting Mary & Jesus on one side & possibly 3 saints on the other, 2" x 2", late 17th century or earlier. Provenance: A Grantham, NH collection. Estimate $800-1,200

27   Russian Icon of Saint Seraphim of Sarov, silver & gilt clad, hallmarked on raza & bottom right, with master, "EY," (No Suggestions) mark "84" with left facing woman's profile within an oval cartouche, (used from 1868-1908), tempera on wood. 29    Russian Icon of The Mother of God of the Sign, gilt paint, egg tempera on gesso over wood, 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", Cyrillic & translation on verso, this was originally purchased with lot #8 & was given by the Empress to the Countess Carloff, (one of her ladies) & so is inscribed on verso by the Empress herself,  in as found condition, 18th century or earlier. Provenance: A Grantham, NH collection and Bowater Gallery Ltd appraisal, London , august of 1970. Estimate $200-400

30   Japanese/Chinese Export Carved Dressing Table, top section bird and dragon carved, has 3 carved mirrors, the side ones fold and the center one swivels, the lower section has 3 stacked side drawers, carved case and top edge, all set on 4 cabriole legs with dragon head carving, 74" tall x 56" wide x 31" deep. Appears to be late 19th century or early 20th century. Provenance: An old Peterborough , NH family, who purchased it on a trip to Japan around the turn of the 20th century. Estimate $800-1,200

41   Gilded baroque Mirror, heavily carved with pierced crown adorned head supported by multiple leaf grape, putti and animal carved sides supported by a later flat base, appears to be Spanish or Italian, 17/18th century, some restoration to the surface, 65" tall x 40" wide. 54    C.P or "O.P. Foster, Taunton, MA," rifled octagonal barreled percussion cap target rifle with set trigger, walnut butt stock and light scroll engraving on the receiver. Trigger guard and patch box (cover is replaced). Barrel measures 37.75" long and is impressed with the number "12" beside the oak ram  rod. Rifle sold along with highly polished powder flask with raised decorations of stag, fox and hounds, flask is marked, "J. Mathewman, New Haven , CT. Provenance: A southern NH collection. 55    Remington "Mark III" Shotgun Pistol, marked on the top of the barrel, "Union Metallic Cartridge Co., Mark III,, Remington Bridgeport Works, Bridgeport, CT," 12 1/2" long, old as found condition, serial #8786, comes with 2 primitive powder horns, approx. 9" long each. 56    "Hopkins & Allen" 12 GA. Shot Gun, lever action, single shot, marked on the top of the barrel, "Hopkins & Allen Manf. Co, Norwich , Conn USA , Pat June 23, 86 & Oct 2, 88," as found but working condition, 45 3/4" long overall, comes with a non associated steel bayonet. 57    Chet Reneson, 1935 - , Ct, watercolor of Hunters/Fishermen by their campfire with canoes, signed lower left, "Reneson," 18" x 28", matted & framed under glass. Provenance: A Peterborough , NH sporting collection, bought from artist. Estimate $4,000-6,000

58    Philip Russell Goodwin, 1882-1935, New York, oil on birch bark painting of a salmon, signed "Philip R. Goodwin" lower left, 9" x 15", framed, in as found condition, some losses, small old black frame, some bark peeling losses, old as found surface, see page 180, "Philip R. Goodwin" by Larry Len Peterson for a similar example. Provenance: A Connecticut collector, a Connecticut fisherman who purchased it from Goodwin in 1917 in Canada , (see label attached to verso). 60         Pair of "Tiffany & Co." Standing Lamps, hammered wrought iron adjustable electric lighting devices, "L" shaped arm which can move up & down with a knob set screw. Supported by 3 arched legs, dark green surface, marked on the bottom of one toe," Tiffany & Co. 13562," 54" tall closed down, no shades. Provenance: A Dublin, NH estate collection. 61         Christophe Fratin, 1800-1864, France, candlestick bronze casting of 2 circus bears performing a balancing act, signed on the base, "FRATIN," 15" tall, 2 newer screws have been added under the base to hold the bottom bears feet to the base, 19th c., old patina. 62         Swiss Music Box rectangular case with floral inlaid lid containing a 6 tune musical works (song title list on lid missing), 19 1/4" long x 8 1/4" deep, appears to be in good working condition with no teeth broken, late 19/20th century. 63         Pair of Brass Candlesticks, circular bases with spring loaded shafts fitted with blown glass vase form shades having a blue rim and copper wheel etched floral decoration, 20 1/4" tall, probably Indian or Eastern European, late 19th c, some denting, unknown signature on the edge of the base. Provenance: A Harrisville, NH collection. Estimate $300-500

64         Brass Kerosene Cherub Lamp, round milk glass shade with 4 molded cherubs faces, set on a cast brass pierced ball font with removable tank supported by a kneeling cherub holding a ball, electrified, marked on the wick adjuster knob. "Made in the USA", 33 1/2" tall not including the glass chimney. Provenance: A peterborough, NH collection. Estimate $500-1,000

65         Edward Benjamin Herberte, 1857-1893, United Kingdom, pair of oil on canvas sporting paintings, "Fox Hunting - The Kill," and "Fox Hunting - Coming Away," identified on front plaque, canvas label "H. Flack Artist Colorman," on one, both signed "EB Herberte 1880," gallery label on both "The Parker Gallery, London", 18" x 24" in matching carved gessoed frames, some paint loss, crackle to first one, the other relined. 66         Robert & Virginia Warfield, 20th century, Jaffrey, NH, the Canadian Goose family consisting of the adult male & female with 4 chicks and a small rodent set on an oval base, 23 1/2" wide x 15" tall, the oval "Warfield," decal under the base signed by both, dated 1979, see, "The Warfield Collection," dated Sept. 2004 for History and background information. 97         Wrought Iron Steel Blunder Buss, made with an octagonal based barrel ending in the typical round flared muzzle. Crudely engraved brass trigger guard and plain brass butt plate. Side lock & hammer also engraved in the same manner. The 17 1/2" barrel has been polished to a satin finish, obliterating the barrels touch marks, possibly 18th c. German. 98         Flint Lock Pistol Middle Eastern in origin, wrought iron barrel measures 11 3/4" long and engraved details can be seen from it's base and then streamlining and then leading the eye to tiny front sight blade. Side lock plate is more finely engraved beneath its patina. The walnut pistol grip extends to the end of the barrel and all fittings including the butt adornment are of tooled brass. As found.
