Provenance: A NH collection.

114. Native American Pipe/Tomahawk, wrought iron pipe bowl & hatchet head surrounding a tapered oak handle capped with inlaid pewter, decorated with brass tacks & bands of punching, 24 1/2” long by 8” wide head. Appears to 19th c. with old color. Provenance: A Massachusetts collection.

115. Isabell Pena San Ildefonso, 1881-?, Pueblo black pottery bowl, hand coiled black on black, 7 1/2” top opening, scratch signed on bottom, “Isabell Pena, San Ildefonso,” her grandmother was Cipriana Pena, who is the great grandmother of Maria Martinez. Provenance: A NH collection.

115A. Navajo Chief’s style blanket, woven in natural ivory, chocolate brown, red purple/gray dyed wool in a modified third phase pattern. Consisting of halved & full cross designs enclosing parallel bars with broad linear    panels with striped grounds, 69” x 55”, some  edge losses. Appears to be ca. 1900. Provenance: A Hancock, NH collection.

115B. Navajo Scatter Rug, woven in natural ivory, chocolate brown, gray & red dyed wool. Consisting of 6 crosses set on a rectangular red center & latch hook border, wear & edge losses, 65” x 45”, appears to be early 20th c. Provenance: A Hancock, NH collection.

116. Native American Ceremonial Mask, carved wood, black face with large hook nose, red eyes & mouth, protruding tongue, applied horse hair strips on head, 12 1/2” Tall, 7 1/2” wide, missing horse hair plume & tin disks covering eyes, probably Iroquois, 19/20th century. Provenance: A MA collection.
