54    C.P or "O.P. Foster, Taunton, MA," rifled octagonal barreled percussion cap target rifle with set trigger, walnut butt stock and light scroll engraving on the receiver. Trigger guard and patch box (cover is replaced). Barrel measures 37.75" long and is impressed with the number "12" beside the oak ram  rod. Rifle sold along with highly polished powder flask with raised decorations of stag, fox and hounds, flask is marked, "J. Mathewman, New Haven , CT. Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $300-500

55    Remington "Mark III" Shotgun Pistol, marked on the top of the barrel, "Union Metallic Cartridge Co., Mark III,, Remington Bridgeport Works, Bridgeport, CT," 12 1/2" long, old as found condition, serial #8786, comes with 2 primitive powder horns, approx. 9" long each. Provenance: A Temple , NH estate collection. Estimate $100-200

56    "Hopkins & Allen" 12 GA. Shot Gun, lever action, single shot, marked on the top of the barrel, "Hopkins & Allen Manf. Co, Norwich , Conn USA , Pat June 23, 86 & Oct 2, 88," as found but working condition, 45 3/4" long overall, comes with a non associated steel bayonet. Provenance: A temple, NH collection. estimate $200-300

57    Chet Reneson, 1935 - , Ct, watercolor of Hunters/Fishermen by their campfire with canoes, signed lower left, "Reneson," 18" x 28", matted & framed under glass. Provenance: A Peterborough , NH sporting collection, bought from artist. Estimate $4,000-6,000

58    Philip Russell Goodwin, 1882-1935, New York, oil on birch bark painting of a salmon, signed "Philip R. Goodwin" lower left, 9" x 15", framed, in as found condition, some losses, small old black frame, some bark peeling losses, old as found surface, see page 180, "Philip R. Goodwin" by Larry Len Peterson for a similar example. Provenance: A Connecticut collector, a Connecticut fisherman who purchased it from Goodwin in 1917 in Canada , (see label attached to verso). 65         Edward Benjamin Herberte, 1857-1893, United Kingdom, pair of oil on canvas sporting paintings, "Fox Hunting - The Kill," and "Fox Hunting - Coming Away," identified on front plaque, canvas label "H. Flack Artist Colorman," on one, both signed "EB Herberte 1880," gallery label on both "The Parker Gallery, London", 18" x 24" in matching carved gessoed frames, some paint loss, crackle to first one, the other relined. Provenance: A Southern, NH collection. Estimate $4,000-6,000
66         Robert & Virginia Warfield, 20th century, Jaffrey, NH, the Canadian Goose family consisting of the adult male & female with 4 chicks and a small rodent set on an oval base, 23 1/2" wide x 15" tall, the oval "Warfield," decal under the base signed by both, dated 1979, see, "The Warfield Collection," dated Sept. 2004 for History and background information. Provenance: The Sharon Arts Center, A Pennsylvania collection, purchased directly from the Warfield's.  Estimate $5,000-7,000

67         Robert & Virginia Warfield, the Blue Jay family consisting of the adult male and the female feeding 2 chicks, all sitting on a branch attached to a wooden base, 18" wide x 12 1/2" tall, signed, "Warfield," on the branch and with the oval decal on the base signed by both Warfields. Provenance: The Sharon Arts Center, A Pennsylvania collection, purchased directly from the Warfield's.  Estimate $4,000-5,000

68         Robert & Virginia Warfield, yellow shafted Flicker landing on a stump with a squirrel near by, 17 1/2" tall x 12" wide, signed & identified in pen on bottom side & dated 1980, small chip on one feather tip. 70         Robert & Virginia Warfield, "Mute Swan with cygnet," swimming white swan carrying her chick on her back, set on an oval wood plaque, titled and signed on bottom side & dated 1985, 16" long x 9 1/2" tall. 71         J.J. Audubon - American Red Fox after the painting,  lithograph and colored by J.T. Bowen, Philadelphia 1846, no 18, Plate LXXXVII, elephant folio size, 20 1/2" x 26" sight, matted & framed under glass, not laid down, fit with  4 Plexi. Provenance: Gift to the consignor from an Audubon collector, W. Graham Avader III - see card attached.  Estimate $2,000-3,000
93         "Ketland & Co" Flintlock Rifle, with walnut stock, brass side plate and butt plate engraved with drum, flags and spear. Brass trigger guard adorned with a nicely preserved acorn finial. Barrel measures, 35 1/2" long & bears 3 touch marks, a crown with "CP,TN," and a crown with "V". Walnut stock cracked & pinned at wrist, action is minus it's hammer. Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $200-300

94         "1778, Flintlock Pike" Blunder Buss with wrought iron barrel, walnut full length stock, a brass trigger guard and side plate. Barrel measures 23" long, side lock is impressed with a rampant lion and "1778". Stock portion just forward of trigger guard is impressed, "Flintlock Pike" and right barrel also bears 2 worn touch marks.  Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $3,000-5,000
95         Wrought Iron Barreled Blunder Buss with walnut stock. Side lock plate engraved "Turner", brass trigger guard & butt plate lightly engraved with scroll & filigree decoration, decorative rose and leaf impressed brass appliques behind tang and to the left hand side of stock above trigger. Barrel measures 15 1/2" and bears 3 touch marked (probably English), crack at the stocks wrist.  Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $1,500-2,000
96         "Milnes Patent" Brass Barreled Blunder Buss with walnut stock and a trigger set up for a remote release, AKA "Coachman's Gun." Side lock plate nicely engraved with a crown and "Milnes patent." Crude walnut stock is fitted with brass trigger guard, butt plate and ram rod fittings. Simply engraved brass barrel measures 11 1/4" long. Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $2,500-3,500
97         Wrought Iron Steel Blunder Buss, made with an octagonal based barrel ending in the typical round flared muzzle. Crudely engraved brass trigger guard and plain brass butt plate. Side lock & hammer also engraved in the same manner. The 17 1/2" barrel has been polished to a satin finish, obliterating the barrels touch marks, possibly 18th c. German. Provenance: A Harrisville, NH collection. Estimate $600-800
98         Flint Lock Pistol Middle Eastern in origin, wrought iron barrel measures 11 3/4" long and engraved details can be seen from it's base and then streamlining and then leading the eye to tiny front sight blade. Side lock plate is more finely engraved beneath its patina. The walnut pistol grip extends to the end of the barrel and all fittings including the butt adornment are of tooled brass. As found. Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $500-600
99         Flint Lock Pistol Spanish in origin, wrought iron barrel measures 12 3/4" long, walnut stock is nicely detailed (worn from handing), incised decoration of aprox. 70 % of its surface. Tooled brass including ornamental pistol butt cap. Trigger guard is broken with central piece absent. Nice old tin repair to bottom of the walnut stock where the side lock base is fixed, as found. Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $500-600

99A      Flintlock Pistol, possibly Spanish military, 11" wrought iron barreled flint lock. Barrel has some line engraving and an engraved "Z", just behind the tang screw, walnut stock extends 3/4" up the barrel and is cracked and pinned in several places. Brass trigger guard, side plate and butt cap which is engraved "L.G.R" over an "F". Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $700-800

99B       12Gauge Damascus Double Barreled, percussion cap shotgun with a checkered straight grip walnut stock. Lightly engraved stock fittings and screws, with a plain steel butt plate, 29" barrels, gun stock and its accent lightly polished. Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $250-350
99C       Hopkins & Allen, Minuteman", early 20th century reproduction of a Continental war period musket with a 39" barrel, beautiful tiger maple stock fitted with high quality brass trigger guard, patch box and butt. Appears to be ready to fire. Side lock stamped 'Warranted". Provenance: A southern NH collection. Estimate $200-300
