Lot 18: Pair of Brass Andirons Attributed to Tiffany Studios

Pair of Brass Andirons Attributed to Tiffany Studios, Original patinated green/blue finish on all brass surfaces to include: 27 1/2" tall andirons (left and right) and cross bar, standing tool holder with three tools (shovel, tongs and poker), fitted ember screen which goes under the dogs, and a four part firescreen, C1890-1900, identical in design to andirons sold at Sotheby's, lot 27, June 2011 and lot 68, June 14, 2008. However, none of these had the horizontal matching brass spit bar and matching fire tools and holder, also all the pairs which we have found have been polished where as these have most of the original blue/green patina. Condition: repair to one iron dog just behind log stop but dog itself is original, also a reattachment done to one spit hook with associated slight change of patina around it.
