Susan Hamlin Theorem Memorial. Painting on velvet depicting a central memorial with 2 girls mourning the death of 3 Hamlin children with a weeping willow and 2 houses nearby. Noted on the bottom edge of the reverse painted glass, "Susan Hamlin," top left corner of the glass is broken out, 21" x 25", set in a period frame, probably original. This was done after the sampler she created (being sold in lot 14_ probably 1825-30 time-frame. Provenance: A Hollis, No collection. Estimate $2,500-3,000
