Of classical form, the axe with long handle with apparent wear, he upper portion with old slate blade and elaborate woven head with black designs. On a custom base.

Collected in the field by Dr. Gerald Bloom as part of the Harvard expeditions to New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in the 1950's.
