Lot of Three Leather Bound Civil War Ledgers of the 2nd Regiment Company "H" NH volunteers, circa 1864: A - Company descriptive book, quill pen accounting of "List of Commissioned Officers," "Register of Men Transferred ," "Register of Men Discharged," "Register of Deaths," and "Register of Deserters," all including, "No", "Rank," "When" and "From Where. "Also includes a, "Descriptive Roll of Company," and "Regiment, U.S." B - Company Clothing," embossed on front cover of leather bound ledger. Piece of period ledger paper pasted to back of the front cover reads, "Piece list of Clothing, Camp and Garrison Equipage. Extracts July (?) 1864. "The United States in Account with Edward K. Russ, of "H" company, "2nd" Regiment of "NH Cavalry,", account of clothing during his enlistment; the money value of each issue being hereby acknowledged. Enlisted at "Franklin Sea(? on the "Fourth" Day of "Jan" 1864.) C - "Company Morning reports," embossed on the front cover of leather bound ledger. Ledger describes, "On For Duty," "On Special Duty," "On Extra Duty," "On Daily Duty, "Sick" "In Arrest or Confinement," "Horse" etc. "Sent," "Present or Absent" signature of the first Sergeant and signature of the company commander. All Civil War Items are from the collection of Richard Vitagliano of Concord, NH, collected over Forty Years.
