Lot 394: Early 19th Century Flint Lock Pistol, Probably of Middle Eastern Manufacture

Flint Lock Pistol, probably of Middle Eastern manufacture, walnut (?) grip with about 85% of its surface in a dark stain. Nicely carved details behind breach and mounted with simple brass trigger guard and butt. Illegible inscription on top of barrel and side lock, left side of barrel bears three proof marks. Barrel measures 8 3/8" long and pistol measures 14 1/2" overall. Early 19th Century.
