A Fine Lower Sepik or Ramu figure, Papua New Guinea. The figure with classically carved face and raised concentric perimeter, the lower portion pierced for attachment of fiber or basketry; the body high stylized with cubistic abdomen, the arms beautifully carved ringing the body and rising high at the back as stylized shoulders, exceptional patina, probably stone carved.
