Portrait Painting of Baron Paul-Charles-Amable de Bourgoing, Oil on canvas painting of him as a young boy dressed with lace collar and cuffs carrying his sword, 55" tall x 26 3/4" wide, old narrow black frame, no visible signature. The Baron lived 1791-1864 and this painting descended in his family until now, the gold background may have been added at a later date, comes with two "Rubelles Seine et Marne" green glazed plates (one damaged) marked with an impressed circle on the reverse, these are from the company the Baron founded in France, C1858.
