Unusual British Percussion Single Shot Pistol Made by T. Richards & Co C1840, Probably Birmingham or London, scroll engraved hammer, side lock and trigger guard, pistol has 8 1/2" octagon 45 cal barrel with threaded muzzle, unusual that a barrel extension of 22" threads into the pistol barrel resulting in a 30" length, extension starts as octagon and ends as round at muzzle, stock has two oval initial plaques inlaid and a hinged well in butt for additional percussion caps, checkered grip, ram rod missing, good working condition.
